I quickly get popular when I started do dipping powder 8 years ago. My nail would last for weeks, month. My clients will always happy when they leave and get so excited when they see me. That’s when I realized how much I love bringing joy and excitement to people. I’ve been building a strong relationship with my clients through all those years , they are trusting me when it come to nails and very loyalty. No matter what product I used , I always try to make them as natural as possible and lasted. They called me Dip Master.
Two years later, I started doing gel X and it’s like the best product I ever work with. I keep investing in my skills, I would always try to learn something new, work harder. I worked in Cherry Creek area for 5 years. I gained a lot of trust and followers. When I leave my old salon, I didn’t have a place to work so I offered my clients to come to their house for a little bit before I opened my first salon in Cherry Creek mall. Me and my wife started with a room only us two work. 2 month late, we got updated to a bigger room with 4 pedicures stations and couple manicure stations. A long with that, we building My Favorite Spot Beauty Bar on Broadway location as the same time. After 1 year, we finally got to open My Favorite Spot Beauty Bar at 330 s Broadway with 17 pedicures stations, 10 manicure station, plus two big lashes and waxing room. I was told that I ruined their experience with other nail tech and that I spoiled them but that’s how I keep my business. I believe if I Keep providing high quality product and service, one day I will reach my goal to make My Favorite Spot become Everyone Favorite Spot.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
High risk high rewards.
I would always try to push myself, in beauty industry their are no right or wrong, it’s more about experience. I think risks are also opportunity.
I made really big decision about 5 years ago to quick doing pedicures so I can focus on nails and design. That was big income that I requested to not take it. But I understand that I can’t do everything and get good at everything, we only have so much time.I lot a lot of income first couple months but I quickly filled up my schedule for at least 3 4 weeks.
About a year and half ago, me and my wife quick out job and started our new journey. We were job less and then We were do pop up shop at my friend’s plant shop, we started to travel to people house, then take clients home, work in a studio then a small salon, we got to experienced them all That all the risks that we taking so we can open My Favorite Spot. If we don’t quick our job, we would still work for someone else.
Through my 10 years in this industry, every nail set are risk taking. It helps me devolve my skills, build my confidence and discover new strength. Risk taking allowed you to challenge existing norm and explore new ideas .
