Check Out Taylor Olson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Olson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I always knew that I wanted to work in the beauty industry. I graduated one year early from high school in 2010 and went to cosmetology school at seventeen. I graduated and opened a full-service salon in Montana on my eighteenth birthday. I then went to Makeup school in Dallas, Texas. I successfully ran the salon for six years before selling it and moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where I opened a studio and primarily focused on Makeup and Skincare. I continued my education in Florida by receiving my certifications in advanced medical skincare and permanent makeup application. My husband and I moved to Denver in May of 2019. Where I have focused my business on the bridal industry, expanding each year with multiple makeup artists and hairstylists working for me on my team.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I would say that my career has been for the most part smooth. Moving from Montana to Florida was a huge adjustment. I moved to be with my husband when my father passed away in 2017. It took a few months for me to start over, But I think it ultimately helped me grow and furthered my passion for the industry,

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known for bridal makeup, specializing in natural glam. I love to enhance the natural beauty of my clients. While I love and appreciate artists that do a full glam look it’s not what I personally love to do. I think my style fits perfectly in with Colorado and the brides that I get the privilege to work with.

I am extremely proud of the business I have built over the years. I feel like I give my brides a different level of service by also offering skincare help leading up to the wedding. I love to build relationships with my brides and do more than just show up on the big day.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Just being genuinely myself. I pride myself on my response time and level of compassion I have for every single one of my clients. Even if I’m not personally doing the makeup or hair and one of my stylists is, my brides have 24/7 access to me and I’m happy to help in any way that I can.
