Hi Adam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Soulful Herbals as a passion project. It was a way to help those I loved to get herbs and teas. Kratom was the specific plant we began importing to support some loved ones in chronic pain. Fast forward four years of doubt this as a small side business. We only had a handful of regular clients. During the quarantine, I started doing recipes on TikTok and giving away samples to people in need. This caught fire and I was soon able to make soulful herbals my primary business. I was devoted and grew a following on TikTok using @plantmedicinemafias after @soulfulherbals.com got deleted.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had problems with social media canceling my accounts. Big pharma keeps buying up all the credit card processors that accept kratom to try and push us out. It is always a struggle for little herbal especially if the products you sell can threaten their profits. That is why I am also launching plantmedicinemafia.com as an online farmers market and resource for little herbal retailers.

Plant Medicine Mafia is a new online farmers market forming from the highly successful TikTok account of the same name.
