Community Highlights: Meet Andrea Turner of Tonic Skin Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Turner.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve spent the past 21 years in the beauty industry, and every step of the journey has deepened my love for what I do. As a licensed esthetician and business owner, I’ve had the incredible privilege of helping women not only care for their skin but also rediscover their confidence and sense of self. To me, beauty isn’t about perfection—it’s about feeling comfortable, radiant, and empowered in your own skin.
Opening my own business was a dream that grew from years of hard work, growth, and an unwavering desire to create a space where women feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. Whether it’s through a facial, skincare consultation, or just a meaningful conversation, my goal is always to connect with each person who walks through my door.
This work is more than a career—it’s a calling. And I’m so grateful to be able to share it with the incredible women who trust me with their care.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles as a business owner has been learning how to balance everything — from managing clients and appointments to handling the behind-the-scenes responsibilities like finances, marketing, and social media. When I first started, I put so much energy into making sure every client left happy that I often forgot to take care of myself or step back to look at the bigger picture. Over time, I’ve realized how important boundaries, organization, and self-care are to sustaining both my business and my passion for it. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has helped me grow stronger and more confident as both an artist and an entrepreneur.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Tonic Skin Studio is a modern beauty destination built on the belief that confidence begins with feeling comfortable in your own skin. Founded by myself, Andrea Turner, the studio offers a curated range of services including eyelash extensions, permanent makeup, facials, waxing, and makeup artistry — all designed to enhance natural beauty with precision and care.

What sets Tonic apart is its emphasis on connection and experience. Every appointment is approached with intention, creating a calm, welcoming space where clients can truly relax while receiving results-driven treatments. I have built my reputation on my meticulous technique, eye for detail, and ability to make each client feel seen and cared for.

Brand-wise, Tonic embodies understated luxury — approachable, authentic, and grounded in artistry. I take pride in the studio’s loyal clientele and the organic growth that has come from word-of-mouth and genuine relationships. At its core, Tonic Skin Studio is more than a beauty space; it’s a place where self-care meets self-expression.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is the life I’ve built outside of work — being a mom, a wife, and finding beauty in the small, everyday moments. My son is the center of my world and constantly reminds me what’s truly important: slowing down, laughing often, and appreciating life’s simple joys. I find so much fulfillment in my family — they ground me and inspire everything I do creatively. Beyond my studio, I’m deeply passionate about music and art; both have always been my outlets for expression and balance. Whether it’s listening to my favorite songs while working or spending time creating something just for fun, those artistic moments bring me peace and help me reconnect with who I am at my core.
