Community Highlights: Meet Angelika Koch of Nerdy Traveling Writer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelika Koch.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began this journey to become an influencer when I realized that I wanted to become the person I always wished I had been when I was younger. I realized that as an influencer, I could give others different messages of hope and guidance through different struggles.

I took my education as a coach and incorporated that in the messages that I then posted onto my platforms. With time, these platforms grew to be what it is today. I am grateful that my videos have been pushed out to those who needed to hear messages of hope in their dark times.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an influencer has not been a smooth road. It is consistent content creation, editing, and writing. When I first became an influencer I was impacted by comments so I had to learn how to navigate through those waters in the healthiest way possible.

Now I feel I have a good system that allows me to work on the things I am passionate about, while also taking care of my mental health with the boundaries I set for myself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As an influencer, I am best known for my self-help videos on breakups and navigating through toxic relationships.

What sets me apart from others is how I connect to those who watch my videos. I come from a very personal place, pouring my heart into each video, as I talk about struggles in life and how to overcome them. I am proud of the work that I do because it is not just a job, it is a part of who I am.

I love that I am able to make a positive impact on the lives of others. What I want my readers to know is that I am grateful for the opportunity to be a content creator and for all of the incredible support my followers have shown me. I care about each and every one of you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t think luck has anything to do with it. I think a lot of it is a strategy and hard work. I also realized that never giving up is so important, as had I given up when things got tough, I wouldn’t have grown the way I did.
