Today we’d like to introduce you to Brand’i O. Stewart

Brand’i O., we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born in Denver Colorado at Rose Medical Center. I am currently living in my state of birth, my home town of Denver. As a young child I attended Catholic School. I attended Hill Middle, which was fun and scary. I attended George Washington High School GO PATRIOT!! and East High School EAST HIGH ANGELS ARE THE BEST!!

I then attended Dillard University, NOLA. At Dillard I finished with a Bachelor of Arts Sociology/Criminal Justice Double Major. I then went on to pursue my Masters in the Art of Teaching at University of Phoenix Lone Tree, CO.

I have spent 10 years teaching and tutoring school age children from newborns all the way up to mature adults getting their GED. I have done work with Safe House Denver, Shiloh House and Devereux Cleo Wallace. Following that, I spent 5 years learning IT, integrated technology for health care systems working with Kaiser Permanente. I have 10 plus years working in Property Management private and commercial properties. I spent 4 years working in formal education in the public and private schools, as well as on the corporate level. I am an entrepreneur that operates a small business here in Colorado and we ship to other states in the USA. I have created a wellness business named after my grandmother with self-care, art and science in mind. I stop at nothing to make sure my clients and customers are walking in wellness while on their life’s journey.

Octeavia’s is a luxurious and holistic self-care experience, combining premium teas and skincare products with ancient teachings to nourish the body, sooth the mind, and promote inner harmony for women of a certain age or anyone seeking balance inside and out. These women have tried various other skincare products and now seek a recovery plan for their skin. They are in need of re-education about skin and body solutions and have a desire to reconnect with ancient teachings, practices and themselves. They value luxurious products and are willing to invest in high-quality self-care items, such as a $25 soap bar. Key personality traits of the target audience include being driven, ambitious, competitive, confident, self-assured, empathetic, nurturing, adventurous, detail-oriented, resourceful, intuitive, mindful, imaginative, sociable, sophisticated, perfectionist, and giving. These clients and customers aim to achieve a youthful, radiant complexion, reduce stress and anxiety, connect with like-minded individuals, enhance overall wellness, maintain a balanced life, and spend quality time with their family. These women are looking for a transformative and luxurious self-care experience that addresses their physical and emotional needs, providing them with a sense of empowerment, balance, and renewal. They seek to incorporate Octeavia’s products and services into their lives to support their well-being, improve their skin health, and foster meaningful connections with others in the self-care community. Wellness is my JAM!!

I divide all of the aspects of myself with my young daughter and I love to watch her grow!! I spend my free time with my family, friends and colleagues discussing and acting on family, social injustices, business, finance and the future of our lineage. Both of my parents are living and thriving here in Colorado.

A few of my major achievements are obtaining higher level education up to a Masters level and owning, operating my own business and giving back to my community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. But yet, the bumpy roads lead me to really awesome places. I believe it was many bumpy road that led me to create my business, aside from my passion for wellness education. The bumpy road of trauma, feelings worthless and overlooked led me to build my business to add value to my existence. The bumpy road of feeling pain and having no way to articulate those feelings, led me to share my remedies for pain. The struggle may arise when you are lacking funding or lack of access to markets. At times the struggle arises when you have a slow market or no sales for the month or when a lead talks up a sale and then won’t follow up with you. Computer systems and technology are a struggle to learn and operate. There are many struggles to realize your entrepreneurial dreams.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The deeper desire behind the target audience’s interest in Octeavia’s
service or product is a longing for inner harmony, self-connection, and
a sense of wholeness. They seek to reclaim control over their wellbeing by integrating holistic, natural solutions into their daily lives, which
allows them to reconnect with their authentic selves and achieve a
deeper sense of inner peace.
This desire is rooted in their need for self-love, self-discovery, and
personal growth. By embracing Octeavia’s products and teachings, they
aim to embark on a transformative journey towards a more balanced
and fulfilled life. The target audience wants to nurture their mind, body,
and soul, ultimately leading to a greater understanding of themselves,
their needs, and their potential.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
When you find your business community, there you can find your mentor and network. I believe that found my mentors and network through participating in business cohort and attending networking events and talking to anyone and everyone about my business. Most programs provide mentors and networking opportunities as a part of their teaching model. I found my mentors and network by staying connected to my fellow entrepreneurs and supporting their brands. Your fellow entrepreneurs are at times your best supports.
