Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Unruh.
Brandy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a third-generation realtor. However, that was not my original plan. I have a degree in Nutritional Sciences with an emphasis on Pre-med from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I wanted to go to PA school. I moved to Colorado originally in hopes of more hands-on patient experience and opportunities for PA school. However, life had a different plan for me. In 2010 my fear stopped me from following up on my application for PA school, and it was accidentally placed in the pile that didn’t have all the criteria (by complete accident, as I very much did). I took it as a sign and started really digging into what I loved. Helping people, making things pretty, organization, and leading. I magically landed into real estate and 12 years later, I am so deeply grateful for that circumstance because this path is a much better fit for me. I get to really harness all the things I love and help people achieve their goals. Beyond my work, I genuinely love my family; I have a husband, daughter, and fur baby named Dax. I live for live music, yoga, traveling, Halloween, scary movies, tacos, and fun. Oh and I love throwing parties.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Struggles… are what make the good stuff feel good and worth it. Real estate school doesn’t exactly teach you how to be a realtor. As a matter of fact, it really should be harder, longer, and have more about what it really means and takes to work in the industry. When I first started in 2010, I worked in health care and real estate full time. I truthfully feel like it made me appreciate what it takes to start from scratch. I didn’t really know many people; I didn’t grow up here; so formulating relationships was what it was all about for me. One by one, day by day, transaction by transaction; I was able to create the platform that I use to connect with people even to this day. I also discovered a fantastic business coach and many other great industry connections that challenged me to really grow and help others. Everything in my world is about my tribe. I spend most of my days helping them solve problems like finding a doctor, a plumber, a daycare, a party planner, and all the other things that come up in life and I just happen to make ends meet by selling homes (which in this market, requires a savvy and smart agent).
As you know, we’re big fans of Brandy Unruh Realtor with Re/Max Momentum. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a residential home expert that covers the entire Front Range. I work everywhere because most of my people are pretty spread out. I am most proud of the ability to help people connect with the things/people/services they need. I love selling homes; the entire process start to finish is like a piece of art for me. Staging, photos, marketing, all of it coming together to shine the way it’s meant to be. However, it doesn’t stop there, sometimes things go wrong (actually in many transactions there is always a small hiccup of some kind). I really shine on solving those problems with all the parties involved in order to help everyone get where they want to be. I enjoy being able to help connect people to other people along the way, before during, and after a transaction is over. I love being a part of their world long after the home has closed and having them be a part of mine.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Lucky for me, my entire career is based on collaborations. I am always looking for new contractors, plumbers, designers, investors, photographers, you name it…I enjoy connecting with others. I truly believe for the Real Estate industry leaders to truly shine they also have to learn from, connect with and truly embrace working with other agents. Reach out to me, I would love to connect!!!
