Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenton Saylor. 

Brenton, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Brenton Saylor. I am an entrepreneur based in Denver, Colorado. I was born in Fort Collins, Colorado but was raised in the Denver-Metro area since I was about 8 years old. I graduated from Pomona Highschool in 2016, & received my Associates of Arts Degree from Front Range Community College in 2020. I am well known for starting Mile High Minute, one of the top upcoming platforms in the United States, focusing on News, Sports & Rap/ Hip-Hop. I also have been pursuing a Career in Real Estate since 2018, so far, I have successfully closed 3 deals. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Growing up on Section 8 my whole childhood, I have seen quite a few interesting things. Although I have been blessed with many opportunities, I didn’t really have much of a father figure, he has in & out of my life since I was in middle school. He really stopped providing while I was in middle school & left it all to my mother. My mother worked a gas station job, sometimes 60 hours a week just to keep the roof over my family’s head. I grew up around a lot of drug addicts, anything from meth to crack I was exposed to at a very young age. Sometimes we had 5-7 people living in a 2-bedroom apartment. Overall, I had my fair amount of struggles & haters along the way, but I wouldn’t take anything back as it built me to the man I am today!

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
In entrepreneurship, you have no choice but to take risks in order to get to the next level. I have taken plenty of risks, especially going out of state, losing money just for an opportunity to network, but the biggest risk I believe I have taken to this day is probably sleeping in my car for a short period of time in 2018. I remember my mother being kicked out of our apartment and I didn’t want to bug any of my friends and family too much as they had helped me out a lot already. So, I decided to sleep in my car so I could finish my degree, work part-time & still have time to focus on building Mile High Minute. At that time, I felt it was more beneficial for me to save money & use sleeping in my car as motivation to take my business to the next level. At that time, I was not making any money on Mile High Minute, now it is my main source of income. I’d rather take a risk and see what happens, than look back and wonder… what if, also, more than likely that risk will pay off!
