Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Eckert.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started Real Estate because I was presented with an exciting opportunity to attend Real Estate school on scholarship. I grew up helping my dad build houses, which ignited my passion for helping people realize the dream of owning their perfect home. On summer vacation, before my final semester of undergrad, I reconnected with a couple of high school friends who were thriving in the Real Estate Industry.
As I began to learn more about Real Estate through my summer of shadowing them, I couldn’t help but feel my excitement grow. While in undergrad, I wasn’t sure of the career I wanted to pursue, but after that summer I knew that Real Estate would fuel my passion and provide me with unlimited opportunities to grow as a person. In my first year of doing Real Estate, I have found that not only is the growth in this industry unlimited, but, also, that I can help and connect with people.
Keller Williams has also given me the opportunity to connect with and serve my community in a variety of ways, which is something I was looking for in a brokerage. I have rekindled many friendships and formed many new friendships thanks to Real Estate and for that, I am forever grateful. I just knew that putting my faith and trust in God would put me on the right path, which led me to Real Estate.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been an easy road at all. Real Estate itself is so broad and there are so many different things to do that all have been proven successful, but it can be really hard to focus on a specific one. That has been my biggest roadblock is finding my niche in real estate and how I want to run my business.
Some other struggles I’ve faced to this point are more along the lines of my mentality when it comes to cold calling, circle prospecting, and speaking to leads/clients. At this point, I’ve figured out that I’m the only reason I’m not catapulting myself into success.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I work in the residential real estate industry and I specialize in educating first-time home buyers on their path to home ownership. I’m known for being very adamant and proactive when it comes to the home-buying process. What sets me apart from others is my background and upbringing.
Growing up playing and being very dedicated to my club basketball team taught me organization, teamwork, accountability, patience, and hard work. These values and characteristics of mine show when working alongside my clients and peers in my brokerage. Another set of skills that sets me apart from others is that I grew up building a house alongside my dad and his construction business.
Having this knowledge of the bones of any home that is built allows me to speak the language of contractors to make sure that my clients are getting exactly what they’re asking for. This helps include my clients in what is being presented. What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that despite me being fairly new to the industry I’m gaining pretty good momentum heading into the beginning of my career.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Some qualities and characteristics that I feel are most important to my success are my determination, being very proactive, the knowledge I have of real estate & residential construction, honesty with my clients, hard work to hunt/fight for the best deal, my perseverance is shifting markets, my patience with understanding my clients’ characteristics and being extremely optimistic.
