Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Tuthill.
Hi Caroline, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
CT Studios was born out of a deep love for design, storytelling, and creating wedding aesthetics that feel unforgettable and entirely personal. Founded by a lifelong creative with a background in fashion, CT Studios specializes in curating and styling intimate weddings and elopements that are anything but ordinary.
Hi, I’m Caroline—the heart behind CT Studios. I grew up in San Diego and studied fashion in college, always drawn to secondhand finds, intentional styling, and creative expression. After six years working in the tech industry, I found myself fully immersed in wedding design while planning my own celebration in 2024. Every detail—from the curated décor to the vintage pieces I sourced—reflected my love of personal, design-forward storytelling. That wedding, which was later featured on Anti-Bride, became the spark that lit the path for CT Studios.
Now based in Boulder, Colorado, I live with my husband and our rescue pup, Hudson. CT Studios is truly a reflection of everything I love—intentional design, meaningful details, and the belief that a wedding should feel like you. Whether it’s a mountaintop elopement or an intimate backyard celebration, I’m here to bring your vision to life with creativity, care, and a fresh approach to sourcing and styling.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was choosing to leave a stable career in tech recruiting after six years to pursue CT Studios full-time. Making the leap from corporate America into the creative, entrepreneurial world of weddings was terrifying—there was no roadmap, no guaranteed paycheck, and so much uncertainty. But deep down, I knew I had to trust myself and the vision I had for this business.
What ultimately pushed me to take the risk was thinking about my future family. I wanted my future children to see that doing the scary thing—the uncertain thing—can be the most rewarding. That believing in yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable, is always worth it. It’s not just about building a business; it’s about building a life filled with purpose, creativity, and long-term happiness.
Starting CT Studios has been a journey of self-trust, resilience, and redefining success on my own terms—and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about CT Studios ?
At CT Studios, I specialize in weddings and events that are design-forward, personal, and full of heart. My work blends thoughtful planning with creative direction—styling each celebration to feel not just beautiful, but truly reflective of the people at the center of it.
Services range from full wedding planning and design to day-of coordination and creative sourcing. I love tracking down unique vintage pieces, styling intentional tablescapes, and crafting one-of-a-kind experiences that feel elevated and meaningful. No copy-paste events here—everything is curated to reflect your story, your style, and the kind of celebration you actually want.
With a background in fashion and a passion for storytelling, I approach every project with a creative eye and an attention to detail. Whether it’s a backyard wedding, a weekend celebration in the mountains, or a thoughtfully styled dinner party, I bring calm, creativity, and care to every step of the process.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something people are often surprised to learn is that I spent six years working in tech recruiting for startups before launching CT Studios. And maybe even more surprising—I was never someone who dreamed about their wedding day. But when it came time to plan and design my own, it all came so naturally. I realized how much I loved the process of curating something deeply personal and visual from the ground up.
Wedding design feels like an entirely different world—but in reality, both careers have relied on intuition, problem-solving, and building trust quickly. From the outside, the leap into something more creative might seem bold, but for me, it felt like coming home to what I was always meant to do.
