Community Highlights: Meet Cynthia Pfeffer of Figs & Dates – Speed Dating Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Pfeffer.

Hi Cynthia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Helping others find love was always a passion of mine! So when my best friend found herself separated a light bulb went off, to bring back speed dating. While speed dating isn’t a new concept, I felt it was needed again since so many people have expressed frustration with app dating. And that was how Figs & Dates – Speed Dating Events was born!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say the biggest struggle for me was when the venue I was using in Denver closed. But luckily that only gave me the opportunity to expand to different venues! I’m hoping to eventually have events in not only Denver but also, Westminster, Boulder, Cherry Creek, and Fort Collins!

We’ve been impressed with Figs & Dates – Speed Dating Events, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Figs & Dates – Speed Dating Events offer the opportunity for people to meet other singles in a safe and fun environment! Connections are so rare, and unfortunately, app dating has created a culture where there are so many options people are getting overwhelmed and frustrated.

Speed Dating offers a face-to-face meeting with others who are also looking for a relationship. It provides efficiency as well! Most people are busy and it can be difficult to dedicate a lot of time to dating. Speed Dating lets you meet up to 16 people in one night!

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice is to always be open to opportunities and suggestions. Even if you end up not taking someone’s suggestion it make spark another idea within you. Don’t close yourself off to any potential avenues!
