Today we’d like to introduce you to David Twillmann.
Hi David, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The teacher and the nurse… Jason Becker an artist and David an ER nurse, became friends on a bicycle trip over the Himalayas in 2006. Fast forward to 2013, while hiking a Colorado Fourteener together, the idea of 14erDesigns was born from hours of (typical) aimless trail banter.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Our path has been as smooth as the mountains themselves… some ups, some downs. The primary struggle has been to get our products in front of new customers.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
14erDesigns proudly donates 1.4% of proceeds to the Colorado Fourteener Initiative (CFI). Colorado Fourteener Initiative protects and preserves the natural integrity of Colorado’s fifty-four 14,000-foot peaks—the “Fourteeners”—through active stewardship and public education.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up in Tennessee, my favorite memories always pertained to coming out West and hiking, skiing, and playing in the Rocky Mountains.
