Community Highlights: Meet Dr. Benjamin Hoskins of Hoskins Holistic Health

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Benjamin Hoskins

Hi Dr. Benjamin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I found my calling as Chiropractic Physician through my lifelong involvement in sports from 12 years of football to 14 years of lacrosse including at Ohio University. During my sports career I had dealt with many injuries including several concussions and broken bones that landed me in the hands of Physical Therapists and Chiropractors for my rehabilitation and functional movement training. This lead me to a passion for taking care of the human body and helping people achieve a higher level of health and functionality. I decided to pursue my degree in Psychology with a focus on Biology at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio to help me not only understand the physiological but the psychological aspects of a health journey. I continued my education getting my Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Georgia graduating Magna Cum Laude. After getting licensed I started practicing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I learned under a great mentor for several years about the ins and outs of patient care and providing a well rounded service. Although I enjoyed my time there the goal was always to come to Colorado and start my own practice. I finally committed to the cross country move to Denver in January of 2023. I worked for a clinic in Arvada learning more of the business side while I starter preparing for the big leap into opening a clinic. October 2025 is when I officially open Hoskins Holistic Health in Northglenn, Colorado. We are a Chiropractic and Functional Medicine clinic and I have loved every minute of this journey and am so thankful to finally be here.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely been a wild ride. I have been explaining it to others as getting on a rollercoaster without a safety bar. You never know what each new day will bring but thats the fun of this adventure. There has been a lot of learning throughout the process but you slowly adapt and overcome. The toughest factor is opening in a new town and area because you have to slowly build new connections, relationships and create awareness of your business.

As you know, we’re big fans of Hoskins Holistic Health. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a Chiropractic and Functional Medicine clinic. I personally specialize in muscle and fascial therapy and also utilize a machine called the Electrons Plus that does something called guided PEMF. This machine allows an electrical currents to travel through my hand while I work on the patient. This helps stimulates the muscles and cells of the patients body so it can recharge increasing healing, improving inflammation and decreasing muscle tension.

Another specialty and large passion of mine is functional medicine. This is testing all different types of unique panels looking at whats going on with the body. These test include blood, saliva, hair, urine and stool that help us dive deeper than your basic labs. We test everything from inflammation levels to hormones to what kind of bacteria is in the gut all of which might be effecting your bodies ability to heal. We then correct this through supplementation, diet and lifestyle changes giving the bodies what it need to help get it back to thriving and functioning properly. The power of functional medicine is it sees each patient as an individual with unique needs and differences instead of broad stroke group classifying treatment.

I am most proud of the fact that each patient feels heard at my clinic and I can spend significant time with each patient every visits because that is the model I have created. This is not a 2 minute interaction clinic and patients receive well rounded care each time they come in.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
There are many ways to find mentors but what has worked the best for me is finding someone who has succeeded at doing what Im trying to accomplish and working to connect with them. I connect with other chiropractors who have opened their own clinics and have turned them into amazing businesses and all it took was just reaching out. Most successful people who have years of experience and love what they do are more than happy to share knowledge because they know what its like to be in yours shoes nervous, struggling and trying to work toward something greater.
