Community Highlights: Meet Eric Hadley of Got Your Six Coffee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Hadley.

Hi Eric, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
In December 2016 Got Your Six Coffee Co was born. Our purpose, mission, and vision are to use the power of coffee to brew better days for the country by supporting those who don a uniform of service. First Responders, veterans, healthcare worker, and their families, to us, are the glue that keeps the country together.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t know if I can name anyone whose entrepreneurial path has been smooth. That being said, I would not change a single thing. One of my favorite quotes comes from Clay Croft with Expedition Overland who once said that if you turn your passions into a career you will never work another day in your life.

While there are days when I am physically or mentally drained, I don’t feel like I am working. The simple fact that we are able to use the power of coffee to help people means the world to me. Not only that but I can see how it is part of my legacy through my kids. They see it and I can see how it is shaping their lives, little difference-makers.

I’m most proud of the fact that we have genuinely proven our mission. Recently I took a moment to reflect on our past accomplishments and have to say that I am extremely proud of all our accomplishments over the past 6 years.

We have been led to this moment and have learned a ton of lessons along the way. It has been an incredible journey and while leading up to COVID our focus was more so on the mission vs. on sales we have accomplished so much.

When COVID happened we struggled because we were restricted and held back from being able to continue our mission with the same capacity that we had been able to accomplish during our pre-covid years. BUT, there is a silver lining. During that time we switched our focus to work on the business side of things which has been a blessing because we are almost finished with the build-out of our new roastery that will increase our production capabilities by 2,800%.

This is going to be massive for us and the mission going forward because during the first quarter of 2023 we should be able to shift our focus from the fix it, build it, renovate it stage to the sales and marketing side of things. Both of which will directly impact our capabilities to continue to prove our mission.

There are so many ways that people can work with us, support us or collaborate with us.

For one, if you have the ability, become a part of the team that is brewing better days for this country by becoming a coffee subscriber. If you are a coffee drinker then you are already paying for coffee. Why not give your coffee purpose?

If you own a company and want to do corporate gifts we can help. If you own a coffee shop or you have an interest in having your own branded coffee we can help there too. We have got your back.

If funds are tight, we completely understand. You could then just make a one-time purchase of coffee. Be prepared though because our coffee is roasted fresh per your order.
