Community Highlights: Meet Faith Murphy of Bound By Grace Media and Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Murphy.

Hi Faith, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Two years ago, I met my business partners when we were all volunteering for a nonprofit promoting health and wellness among mothers. Our volunteer work covered social media marketing, marketing, graphic design, web design as well as other aspects of the nonprofit. We were able to work hours around our children, as we stayed at home with them. Our passion for graphic design, web design, marketing, social media marketing, and content strategy led us to create our own business together.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As strange as it may sound, none of us have ever met in person. In fact, we’re all located in different states. While I am here in Colorado, the other two owners reside in Virginia and Missouri. We have had to focus our efforts from the beginning on communicating clearly, consistently, and honestly. Since we have never owned a business before, navigating the start-up and the process in three states has been a challenge.

As entrepreneurs, we are aware of how challenging it can be to start your own company. Bound By Grace Media provides graphic design and marketing services at an affordable price for entrepreneurs and small business owners. We don’t just create design pieces, such as logos and marketing materials, but also help our clients refine their business plans, target audiences, and brand personalities as a whole. It’s our mission to make our clients’ design visions a reality.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
We believe success follows fear. The adventure of taking a leap of faith into the unknown is where success is often found. Our view of success begins with the decision to take the road less traveled and continues with the time and energy poured into it. We don’t see success as a milestone or a checkmark on a to-do list, but as the daily choice to walk in faith.
