Hi ingrid, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Napulitanamente Magazine was born out of my deep love for art, culture, and my heritage. Growing up in Napoli, I was surrounded by beauty and creativity, which instilled in me a strong appreciation for storytelling and artistic expression. After years as a performer, entrepreneur, talent scout, and journalist, I realized there was a critical gap in the representation of Southern Italy and the broader Mediterranean region.
In 2020, during the challenging times of the pandemic, I channeled my creativity into founding Napulitanamente Magazine. Our mission is to uncover and share the hidden truths and vibrant culture of the Mediterranean. We started small, offering free online content, but soon expanded to include a luxurious semi-annual print issue that celebrates the art, history, and talent of this region. The publication has grown immensely, with a dedicated following of readers who appreciate our unique perspective.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road, but the challenges have made the journey all the more rewarding. Starting a magazine during a pandemic was a bold step, especially when the arts industry was hit hard by restrictions. We faced logistical challenges, such as creating and distributing high-quality print editions and funding the project without compromising on our mission to provide free access to our online content.
Another hurdle was combating misinformation and stereotypes about the Mediterranean, particularly Southern Italy. It required persistence and creativity to build a platform that challenges these narratives while fostering a stronger sense of community. Despite these challenges, seeing our vision resonate with readers and artists has made it all worthwhile.

Napulitanamente Magazine is more than just a publication; it is a cultural movement. We specialize in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the Mediterranean through art, storytelling, and meaningful content. What sets us apart is our commitment to authenticity and our dual mission: to celebrate well-known artists while giving a platform to emerging talent from the Mediterranean region.
We are proud to host the Mediterranean Cocktail of Art, a multi-art event that unites artists, writers, and performers from across the Mediterranean. This event embodies our ethos of breaking boundaries, combining cultures, and creating opportunities for talented individuals.
Brand-wise, we take pride in producing a luxurious print edition that readers treasure, alongside our accessible online content. Our efforts have fostered a vibrant community of 10,000 monthly readers and 20,000 social media followers. We want our readers to know that every issue, article, and event is a labor of love designed to inspire, educate, and connect.
We are currently working on Mediterranean Cocktail of Art II edition and are very thankful to those who join us in this journey. Without the help of Low Pulse Project, Mario Pagliarulo,Tropis Hotel & Wellness Center, Madison Cafe’ Tropea, Arcas teatro we wouldn’t be able to try realizing this dream. Therefore we can be able to promore artists from our lands, for free.

How do you think about luck?
Luck, in its various forms, has played a role in shaping my journey. Bad luck came in the form of the pandemic, which initially seemed like a major obstacle. However, it pushed me to think creatively and use my experiences as an artist, journalist, and entrepreneur to create something meaningful.
Good luck has come in the form of incredible collaborators, supportive readers, and the passionate artists who have embraced our mission. Ultimately, I believe we make our own luck by staying true to our values, working hard, and remaining open to opportunities. The success of Napulitanamente Magazine and the Mediterranean Cocktail of Art has been a testament to the power of resistence, passion, and the right partnerships.
