Community Highlights: Meet Jessica Harsch of Redemption Road Coffee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Harsch.

Jessica Harsch

Hi Jessica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We were pondering a way to help support our not-for-profit…and we were home roasters at the time.

Our friend suggested that we use the coffee and a giant idea was born. What if we could create a coffee roasting business that funds good in the world? Then the idea was born!!! Redemption Road Coffee!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a wild roller coaster ride with thrills, bumps, joys, and hard times!

We have learned and grown so much and growing a business teaches you so much grit! I am joyful for the struggles and joy along this journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Redemption Road Coffee?
The purpose of Redemption Road Coffee is to fund good in the world. We are small-batch coffee roasters in Mead Colorado–who focus on single origin.

We highlight the farms and the good they are doing in their local community. We also then go towards fighting against sex trafficking, building wells, and education.

We offer a variety of single-origin roasts and coffee-themed accessories–like soap, chapstick, and candles!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We learned that we have a community that cares deeply and can go through hard things together! We had so many people show up and support us at farmers’ markets and online.
