Community Highlights: Meet Jesus Antonio Perez of GAZNACA LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesus Antonio Perez

Hi Jesus Antonio, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?

I am from Venezuela, I am a chemical engineer, and I got a master’s degree in natural gas Business. Unfortunately, in my country the political issues are in every entity, so I had to look for a new destination. In 2021, I arrived in Denver, Colorado because my brother Jose and my sister Sara were living there. A new pathway started for me and my family. 

Since I arrived in the United States my mindset was totally positive, I wanted to contribute with this country employing my background in natural gas value chain. I have more than 20 years of experience in natural gas value chain, such as processing plants, process engineering, design of gas pipelines, conceptual and design studies for major projects so I decided to create my own company in 2021, GAZNACA LLC.

GAZNACA is an enterprise to embrace new developments in natural gas. We are very proud of GAZNACA number’s: 1200 km in hydraulic evaluations in high pressure gas pipelines, 5560 man-hours in marketing and conceptual studies and 3080 man-hours in technical and financial consulting, 19 satisfied customers and the number continues growing. Every day, I find more gates opened, actually the government of the United States is bringing me the opportunity to be an applicant for a special visa called EB2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) where according to my professional profile they can granted it and automatically get the green card.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

Sincerely I have had the total support of my brother Jose and sister Sara, we are a family with values as love, honesty, transparency, hardworking and team working very clear. On the other hand, I have the total support of my wife, Yelitmar and my infinitive source of inspiration my unwavering daughter Nazareth. 

Sometimes our biases, customs or traditions are your own struggles, take the control of your life and do not waste the time blaming other, get over yourself every day. 

In the United States you can get many opportunities, this is a country where your knowledge, skills and abilities are so valuable and priceless. My Bachelor of Science and Master of Degree are important tools to develop my projects is USA.

I remember my first day in Denver Public Libraries, Branch Schlessman Family when they told me “The limit of books to take home are twenty (20)”, I did not believe, I was so happy. This is a tiny example of the countless opportunities in Denver, Colorado.

Other facts: In 2021, I am member of the Project Management Institute, in 2022 I am project Coordinator in Colorado for Alumni and Friends of the Universidad Central de Venezuela, a non-profit organization. Since 2023, I am senior member in the American Institute Chemical Engineer AIChe. And recently, in 2024 I am member of Mexican Institute of Chemical Engineers. 

My main message for my Hispanic community is based on empowering your true strength, which is inside you, do not listen noisy transmitters during your path. Nourishing your skills, abilities and passion you will be an excellent citizen for this country which deserves it. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about GAZNACA LLC?

GAZNACA LLC was created in 2021, our vision is to be the reference company in the execution of conceptual studies, pre-feasibility, feasibility, technical, financial and commercial advice on projects in the natural gas, offering a high-quality service at the forefront of technology with the purpose of satisfy the requirements.

GAZNACA’s vision is to consolidate as the advising company in the identification of opportunities, business structuring, conceptual and feasibility studies in USA.

I feel immensely grateful because I have been in international project as Colombia Gas Pipeline, Curaçao Gas Pipeline, Aruba Gas Pipeline, Deltana Project (with Trinidad and Tobago), and during my 20 years of background I have shared with colleagues in companies as Shell, Chevron, Total, Equinor and Siemens. 

In 2024 I have had the opportunity to be in BP American Energy Summit 2024 New Orleans, Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), Houston 2024, Carbon Capture Technology Expo, Houston 2024 and Design 2 Part Denver, 2024. 

GAZNACA has a social responsibility, where we support students and non-profit organizations. In October 2023, we launched a program Free Consultancy for Degree Thesis (more information in our Instagram @gaznaca) enabling a new channel for students’ doubts. Whereby those students can feel our commitment with their unique outcomes. 

What does success mean to you?

This is a complex question, because success is different for everyone. After reading many books and authors, for me success should embrace happiness, peace and tranquility.
Success is the capacity to get your achievements under a universal equilibrium. Success should be comprehensive, personal, professional and familiar themes together.
Success is daily, I enjoy every day and every activity, making breakfast, carrying my daughter at school, working, going to the gym, sharing with my wife, sharing with my family, learning a new chapter in my life, listening to people, etc … we must enjoy each minute … you know the reason?… because this day will not happen again.
