Community Highlights: Meet Kari Mirabal – Founder of Naked Networking®

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kari Mirabal.

Hi Kari, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a seasoned and award-winning keynote and TEDx Talk speaker who is passionate about teaching people how to “Network Smarter.” I’m proud of my proven track record for inspiring audiences across the country (and abroad) to think differently. I cut my teeth in the networking arena as a former IT recruiter as well as owned and operated a company that helped countless professionals secure new careers when I lived in Denver, CO.

I’ve helped place professionals within a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, government, telecom, construction, and oil/gas using simple yet effective networking strategies gathered from two decades of experience. I invite people to explore how networking can change their career (and their life like it did mine). I specialize in helping business professionals build and sustain powerful connections – authentically. Experience has taught me many things – things I enjoy sharing with audiences via keynotes, masterclasses, and customized individual coaching programs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For someone who once HATED networking, I sure have come a long way (smile). I felt scared to talk to strangers so I isolated at work while I witnessed others getting promotions, exceeding business goals, and/or meeting amazing people and sharing stories that made me realize I was only hurting myself by not taking new risks. Once I adjusted my mindset from a spirit of scarcity to one of abundance, I learned some simple strategies that plotted the course to mastering the art of networking. Connecting with others to build mutually beneficial relationships over the years changed my life so I know it can transform the people I work with too. I am proud to serve as a conduit for clients interested in experiencing breakthroughs as they build and sustain powerful networks.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Denver is an amazing city filled with opportunities and people eager to support each other’s success. I appreciate the technology focus (DTC) and stepping out for a breathe of fresh air on the balcony only to see the beautiful mountains – no two sunsets or sunrises are the same. What I like least about Denver – that’s easy – the traffic on I25!!!!!! : )
