Community Highlights: Meet Meltem Yilmazturk of Luvi Healing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meltem Yilmazturk.

Hi Meltem, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a certified Reiki, sound and vibration practitioner. My journey to becoming a healer starts with my Shamanic ancestors in Turkey, where I was born and raised.

After ten years of working for corporates and eighteen years as a small business owner specializing in women’s clothing and accessories, I started yoga and meditation for self-development. Many yoga and meditation retreat later, I came to the awareness that my life’s purpose is actually to help people as a healer and a clairsentient person.

It has always been my inner calling to help people. Reiki, sound, and vibration therapy are energy healing methods I started to use to help myself, my family, and friends. I am happy that I discovered these tools that translate my healing hand into energy to support others.

I currently offer sound bath group sessions and private Reiki, sound, and vibration therapy sessions in a yoga studio in Lowry. If my clients prefer, I also provide sound bath sessions in their homes.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The weight of being a small business owner and a mother was intense. The stress level was why I started yoga and meditation in the first place. One of my spiritual friends led me to this path of reiki and energy healing. After realizing the positive impact, I started looking for ways to share this gift with others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Recently, with the Covid pandemic, many of us need more support. In starting Luvi Healing, my goal was to support people. Sound baths have been a practice in California for a long time, and there was a gap in the Denver market in this area. Luvi Healing is how I do my share to fill in that gap.

Any big plans?
In the future, my goal is to start working with organizations to support their teams in team-building activities. I want to support bigger communities and work with different wellness centers.
