Hi Micah , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Front Porch is a non profit in Denver, CO, founded in 2023 by our CEO & Founder, Micah Maberry. Our Mission is to empower local communities into life-changing service with the chronically homeless. Born in South Africa and raised in Pagosa, Colorado, Micah grew up with a front-row seat to poverty, but also to resilience and hope. With leadership experience in seven major industries, he’s built companies, led teams, and achieved great success- but His greatest mission is just beginning. Fueled by faith and a passion for the homeless, Micah founded Front Porch Farms to turn conviction into action.

At Front Porch Farms, we are passionately dedicated to building dignified, long-term and self-sustainable custom homes for the chronically homeless in Denver. Our commitment doesn’t end here. Our mission is centered around multiple partnerships and active community engagement that ensures access to food, clothing, essential healthcare, mental health support, and comprehensive skills and job training. Our goal? To lay down a holistic foundation for healing and recovery that empowers each homeless individual to re-imagine life brimming with purpose and possibility.

Our ultimate Vision is to build Front Porch Farms, a community where various micro-enterprises will offer dignified income and support self-sustainable living for the chronically homeless.

Denver Nonprofit Races to Raise $15,000 in Final Weeks of Home Build Campaign- Front Porch Farms pushes to complete its first permanent home for chronically unhoused residents

Denver, CO — With just three weeks remaining in its fundraising campaign, local nonprofit Front Porch Farms is urging the community to take action in support of its mission to combat chronic homelessness in Denver—currently the fourth highest in the nation.

The organization’s ambitious goal is to raise $15,000 by April 30, 2025, which will fully fund the construction of a self-sustaining home for a chronically unhoused in Denver. The project is part of a larger vision to create permanent, dignified housing & work solutions for individuals who have endured chronic homelessness due to factors such as a profound catastrophoc loss of family, economic hardship, mental health challenges, disability, and systemic failures.

“Ninety-four percent of people experiencing homelessness in the Denver Metro area didn’t choose this path—they were forced into it by circumstances beyond their control,” said a spokesperson for Front Porch Farms. “Our existing systems have fallen short. What’s missing is community—and that’s where we come in.”

The home, the nonprofit’s first, will not only offer safe and stable housing but will also be connected to essential wraparound services including food access, healthcare, mental health support, and job training.

Front Porch Farms is calling on the public to pledge donations between $50 and $250, which will go directly toward building materials, supplies, and equipment. All donations are tax-deductible.

“Every dollar moves us closer to transforming someone’s life,” the spokesperson added. “This isn’t just about shelter. It’s about restoring dignity, hope, and lives”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been easy—and the work is just beginning.To bring our full vision to life, Front Porch Farms must raise millions for land acquisition, building materials, equipment, and infrastructure to create a village of tiny, permanent homes with various mirco-enterprises for Denver’s chronically unhoused.

Our ultimate VISION is to build Front Porch Farms. Along with permanent homes and a community for the unhoused, the farm will incorporate several small-scale agricultural practices and micro- enterprises such as welding, art, wood-working, car services, and other businesses that will provide dignified income for the formally unhoused. Other objectives include:
