Hi Micah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I moved to Denver about a year and 5 months ago. Before this, I was living in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota. They have many mobile sauna businesses there, and I had grown to love the sauna community. Being a new father, I found that Sauna usage gave me the right balance of being able to find connection with others, as well as being able to get the blood pumping, destress, as well as detox. After I moved to Denver, I realized there wasn’t really much of a sauna scene in Denver which really surprised me, as Denver has a lot of physically active people. After trying every sauna and spa in town I decided I would start my own Mobile Sauna business here, to bring the traditional sauna practice to the Denver Area. We have only been open for 3 months, but have already found a customer base that enjoys our events and rental options.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve started quite a few business’s before, but I have never built something this size with my own two hands before. That was a lot of fun. We started in November, the first sauna was built in two days, but all the small adjustments or modifications took me another two months to figure out or ship in.
Another struggle has been finding a somewhat permanent location to base ourselves out of so that the public could access our sauna when not being rented or leased out.
