Hi Rachel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I discovered my love for baking at an early age, and everything I’ve learned along the way has been self-taught. I wanted to create something people could enjoy every day, cookies that aren’t just ordinary but offer unique flavors you won’t find in every store. That’s why I started my home-based cookie shop, specializing in large, New York-style cookies with gourmet flavor combinations. My goal is to share the warmth and comfort of fresh-baked cookies while pursuing a dream that allows me to balance creativity, family, and entrepreneurship.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting Sugar Dreams Cookie Co. has been a journey filled with both challenges and triumphs. As a first-time business owner, I stepped into uncharted territory, learning to navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship while defining my vision for the business. Through trial and error, I’ve discovered what works, what doesn’t, and how to adapt along the way. Every lesson has been an opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally, as I continue to build a brand that reflects my passion and creativity.

We’ve been impressed with Sugar Dreams Cookie Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sugar Dreams Cookie Co. is a home-based bakery, in Loveland, specializing in indulgent 5oz New York-style gourmet cookies. New York style cookies are thicker, chunkier, soft and gooey on the inside, with a slightly crispy outside cookie. Known for their rich, decadent flavor combinations and homemade quality, my cookies deliver the irresistible taste and texture of a freshly baked treat. Every batch is made with premium ingredients, ensuring you can taste the difference in every bite. One of my most popular creations is the Reese’s Stuffed cookie, a peanut butter lover’s dream packed with Reese’s peanut butter chips, Reese’s Pieces, and a whole peanut butter cup stuffed in the center. Sugar Dreams cookies are perfect for elevating your dessert plate or satisfying a serious sweet tooth, my cookies are made to impress and delight.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories revolve around the moments my mom baked my birthday cakes. Watching her put so much care and love into creating something just for me always made me feel special. Those moments left a lasting impression and sparked my own love for baking. I think that’s where my passion for sharing homemade treats with others truly began, through the joy of creating something heartfelt that brings people together.
