Community Highlights: Meet Rachel Simring of Rachel Simring, Realtor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Simring

Hi Rachel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a musician and a Spanish teacher… well, I was. I am now an award-winning Realtor after changing careers at age 49. I used to own Club Amigos, a company I started so that elementary-aged children could learn Spanish. It was a super popular program in over 20 metro Denver schools. I had waitlists for kids to get a coveted spot. During Covid, when I couldn’t teach, I got very depressed and felt terrible that I couldn’t help anybody. I then unofficially helped three friends find places to live in Denver and all three of them told me I was more helpful than their Realtors had been. I then realized that I could still help people, but just in a different capacity. In 2021, I got my real estate license. I was Rookie of the Year in my brokerage in my first year, Agent of the Year in my second and I am now their top producing Denver agent this year. I always planned to go back to teaching, but I’m now way too busy to do so. I thus closed that chapter of my life and focus now on real estate only. Additionally, husband and I are musicians and we play out as a duo for fun after doing it fairly professionally for most of our lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been an amazingly smooth transition. I think being a teacher lends itself nicely to being a Realtor. My organizational skills and attention to detail come in handy in every aspect of this career. I also love being able to explain to my clients the implications of their actions. I provide them with the education and knowledge needed with which to make the best decisions for themselves.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
As a Realtor, I am known for being empathetic and compassionate. My clients remark at how I go above and beyond and do things they never knew Realtors did. They say I solve problems they didn’t know they had and I am great at listening to their needs and concerns. While I help anybody who needs my help, I do tend to specialize in helping seniors. After living with my grandmother for most of my childhood, I have a special place in my heart for our elders and I strive to make sure they are taken care of with dignity and respect. Lastly, I am proud of the work I do in my community. Between the events I host and the fundraisers I organize, I bring people together and make meaningful connections that last a lifetime.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was friends with anybody and everybody and I talked to way too much. Still do.

I loved to sing and I was always interested in careers that helped people.
