Community Highlights: Meet RoMelia Fox of AileMor Lifestyle

Today we’d like to introduce you to RoMelia Fox.

Hi RoMelia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
At the age 4, my mother put in my first Ballet class. It seemed as though it was my fate, perfect passion, perfect desire. From there I would take on new styles of dance ranging from Jazz, Tap, Hip-hop, African, Poms, and more. Taking this training to the stage for recital after recital, show after show. As a pre-teen I danced professionally on a hip-hop team for the Denver nuggets, then in high school, I’d become a 2-time Colorado hip hop state champion. But my talents wouldn’t stop there. Not only did I have a passion for dance but for entertainment as a whole. I would go on to train and act professionally with Denver’s Rocky Mountain Theater for kids, sing in church choirs and home studios, and practice chords and songs on the piano. No matter how intense the schedule got, the passion would never die. And it never did! That’s how I became the hard-working person that you see today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The path to success is never completely smooth. You know how the old saying goes, “You will get 100 nos before you get 1 yes.” This is a fact; people only see the end result but what they don’t see is the work and patience that it took me to get there. The endless emails and auditions. You will go to casting after casting and only when you are on the brink on giving up will you get the gig or goal you want to obtain. Not only did I face external struggle but internal battles as well. When others are rejecting you, you begin to think you are not good enough. “You can’t dance, you can’t entertain.”

But speak to yourselves kindly, because the goal is manifested with in you. You will always persevere!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
