Community Highlights: Meet Streeter McClure of Streeter Flynn Vodka

Today we’d like to introduce you to Streeter McClure. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Streeter Flynn Vodka, a one-year-old Colorado-based company, is blowing the doors off the vodka scene. In the past month, they have taken home 5 medals in international and national tasting competitions. Starting off the month winning a gold medal at the International Spirits Competition 2022 as well as winning a silver medal with the Beverage Testing Institute. Finishing off the month, they won a bronze medal at the London Spirits Competition, a silver medal at the Monterey International Spirits Competition, and a gold medal at the Denver International Spirits Competition. All competitions are highly controlled blind taste tests done by prestigious beverage industry professionals. Winning these awards helps Streeter Flynn to make its mark on a highly competitive vodka market.

Launched in April 2021, Streeter Flynn Vodka is quickly becoming the go-to vodka choice for cocktail lovers throughout Colorado due to its ultra-smooth taste and clean finish. The taste starts with organic sugar cane, making it 100% naturally gluten-free. It is distilled 4-times, keeping only the pure-heart of the distillation, proofed-down with the finest Colorado water, and filtered twice through seven feet of activated charcoal – possibly making it the longest filtered vodka in the world. This commitment to detail makes Streeter Flynn Vodka the smoothest vodka on the market.

Tired of tasting vodkas with a rubbing alcohol nose and harsh bite, Streeter McClure founded Streeter Flynn Vodka determined to place quality above all else. The decision to use organic sugar cane enabled McClure to create a vodka that is 100% naturally gluten-free, great for those with Celiac disease, as opposed to grain-based vodkas that rely on the distillation process to remove the gluten. For Streeter Flynn Vodka, every step matters because taste matters. “Our goal is to make the best tasting vodka in the world and something that we are proud to order in restaurants and proud to serve to family and friends,” said McClure.

Streeter Flynn Vodka is currently available in Colorado’s finest restaurants and liquor stores (see a short list below). McClure is confident in the growth of Streeter Flynn Vodka with a 2022 production capacity of more than 10,000 cases annually. “We expect to double or triple production based on projected sales and,” McClure says “we will soon expand distribution into multiple states.” McClure added, “Success in the vodka business does not come easily when you are competing against brands with multi-million-dollar marketing budgets but taste and quality will win out in the end, and Streeter Flynn Vodka has the superior taste.”

McClure is a successful entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist. Shortly after graduating from Oklahoma University, McClure founded DigitalSafe, a company that designs and fabricates jewelry and cash wall safes. He also founded DigitalSafe Alarms, which provides alarm/camera installation and monitoring. McClure is a producer and part of the investment group that brought Mrs. Doubtfire, to Broadway in 2021. McClure also authored “The Single Man’s Guide to Cooking with Beer ” which was published by Phoenix Publishing in 2009. He has made several appearances on TV shows demonstrating his recipes and cooking skills. Streeter McClure also donates his time to several charities including Men for the Cure, National Jewish Foundation, and for many years has served as Chairman for the Silent Auction for Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a new company during a worldwide pandemic is tough for any new company. The biggest struggle along the way has definitely been supply chain issues. Since we were so new to the business, building the right relationships with the right vendors has been very important. Even though this has been a struggle, we now have built a great team to surround us and guide us along the way.

We’ve been impressed with Streeter Flynn Vodka, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Streeter Flynn Vodka uses only organic sugar cane, making it rich in flavor and 100% Gluten Free. We have many friends and family members that live a Gluten-Free lifestyle. When we were creating this vodka, we took this into great consideration. We are very proud of our product, especially in using the organic sugar cane in our recipe.

Streeter Flynn Vodka is locally made in Denver, CO. We are currently in 60 restaurant and liquor store locations throughout the Denver Metro area.

We are very proud to have won 6 medals so far this year in competitions throughout the country and overseas. The most recent win, a gold medal at the SIP AWARDS, we are especially proud of. The SIP Awards is the only internationally recognized consumer judging spirits competition. We feel the people have spoken and they really enjoy Streeter Flynn Vodka!

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I care about this company, but it’s more than our company succeeding. I care about my community whether it is serving on a non-profit board such as Global Down Syndrome Foundation or donating time to other charities like Men for the Cure and National Jewish Foundation. I love being involved with these things because it makes me well-rounded and helps me understand the world. I always take this understanding back to work to empathize with our customers and accounts.
