Community Highlights: Meet Taylor Griffin Lauren Shaffer of Annabelle’s Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Griffin Lauren Shaffer.

Hi Taylor Griffin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up we always had an interest in planning parties and get togethers. As a result, we decided to get our degree in Hospitality with a minor in Event Management. We learned a variety of skills through our combined experiences working at a hotel and country club. We have always been best friends growing up and with our shared passion in creating memories for others, we were inspired to start our own business. We started spreading the word through our network of family and friends and it started growing from there!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Wedding planning and coordinating is not for the faint of heart! The dynamics of any event always keep us on our toes. From eager-to-be-involved family members to inclement weather, and everything in between, there are a lot of variables to manage. Gaining respect in the industry proved to be challenging at times as young professionals. But our combined tenacity and skill set proved our worth to clients and vendors alike!

We’ve been impressed with Annabelle’s Events , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The bulk of our business has been coming alongside engaged couples as they prepare for their big day and helping their vision come to life! This includes managing all logistics, vendor relations, and time management on the day of the wedding. Being twins and close friends has made our business not only fun, but has given us a leg up in communication and teamwork. We have a shared desire to make every event unforgettable and tailored to the client’s desires.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To us, success is seeing the smile on our client’s faces after a seamless and joy-filled event that they will remember forever!
