Our Story
At MARCHAND RANCH WEDDING & EVENT VENUE, we can bring your wedding and special event ideas to fruition.
Located minutes west of Canon City, Colorado a short 45 minutes from Pueblo, and a beautiful 1 hour scenic mountain drive from Colorado Springs, in a quaint stately valley. Established in 1920 the ranch has been a working cattle ranch as well as a sawmill during the great depression.The idea to one day preserve and utilize the original hay barn as a wedding venue was born with the desire to meld rich family history with the detail of a real ranch.

Marchand Ranch has roots that go back over 100 years. The property was originally a working cattle ranch and even served as a sawmill during the Great Depression. It was always rich with history and character, and the idea eventually grew to preserve that legacy by transforming the original hay barn into a wedding venue that feels both meaningful and beautiful.
Building the business from scratch has meant balancing a deep respect for that heritage with the practical work of creating something entirely new. We wanted a venue that offers simplicity, flexibility, and real value for couples, without hidden fees or rigid rules, so we focused on designing experiences that let couples bring their own vision to life.
Along the way, there were logistical challenges and many decisions to make, but faith and a commitment to serving couples well have guided each step. Today, Marchand Ranch is a family-run venue that celebrates history while helping couples begin their own legacy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a venue from the ground up came with financial decisions, logistical hurdles, and plenty of problem-solving along the way. There were seasons of learning as we refined systems, processes, and the guest experience. Through it all, faith played a steady role in guiding decisions and staying grounded when challenges arose. Each obstacle strengthened the foundation of Marchand Ranch and shaped it into a venue that serves couples well today.

Marchand Ranch is a family-owned wedding venue in Cañon City, Colorado, specializing in affordable Colorado mountain weddings with rustic charm and modern style. We offer a beautiful, flexible setting that allows couples to truly make their day their own. Our pricing is simple and transparent, with no hidden fees, which is something couples deeply appreciate in an industry that often feels overwhelming.
We pride ourselves on supporting couples through the entire wedding journey, day or night, and being intentionally the venue that says “yes”, unlike so many venues that mostly say “no”. Couples can choose their own vendors, bring in their own alcohol or bar service, and design a celebration that reflects their vision, not a preset package. We are most proud of the brand we’ve built around trust, clarity, and genuine care for the couples we serve. Marchand Ranch isn’t just a venue. It’s a place where history, freedom, and meaningful celebrations come together.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality that has been most important to my success is a strong work ethic, instilled in me by my parents from a young age. Coupled with determination and perseverance, it’s what allows me to tackle challenges and follow through on the many moving parts of building and running Marchand Ranch. Equally important is bringing the right people on board and knowing when to delegate tasks, which ensures that the venue operates smoothly and that couples receive the best support possible throughout their wedding planning journey.

- Saturday is $10,900
