Today we’d like to introduce you to Tobias Romero
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey to becoming a Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) artist has been nothing short of transformative. While it’s been incredibly rewarding, it’s also presented numerous challenges that have tested my resolve in every way imaginable – physically, mentally, and emotionally.
One of the most significant hurdles I faced was mastering the technical aspect of SMP. It required countless hours of practice, patience, and perseverance. I had to push through many uncomfortable situations, spending long hours behind the chair, honing my skills.
However, the challenges didn’t stop there. The demands of building a successful SMP career took a significant toll on my personal life. I went through a divorce with Tanya, the mother of my child, which was one of the most difficult experiences I’ve faced. Despite the challenges, my daughter Alaia remains a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me.
As my career progressed, I began traveling to other cities to perform SMP procedures on clients who expected nothing but the best work. This added an extra layer of pressure, as I had to consistently deliver high-quality results in unfamiliar environments.
The physical demands of SMP work have also taken a toll on my body. I’ve experienced chronic neck pain, which remains an ongoing challenge I’m working to manage.
Despite these challenges, I remain committed to my craft and am proud of the progress I’ve made. I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives through my work.
As you know, we’re big fans of SCALPRO- Scalp Micropigmentation. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
As a leading Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) artist, I’ve had the privilege of transforming lives, one procedure at a time. My journey began with a passion for barbering, which ignited a fire within me to help others regain their confidence and self-esteem.
Through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence, I’ve built a reputation as a trusted expert in SMP. My training under industry legends Bryce Cleveland and Leah Matsch laid the foundation for my success.
In 2020, I took a leap of faith and opened Scalpro Denver, despite the uncertainties of the pandemic. This bold move allowed me to provide hope and transformative solutions to those struggling with hair loss.
My journey hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve faced personal struggles, including divorce and physical health issues. However, these obstacles have only strengthened my resolve to make a difference in the lives of others.
As a traveling artist for Good Look Ink, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds, each with their unique story and struggles. These experiences have broadened my perspective, deepened my empathy, and fueled my passion for delivering exceptional results.
My story is a testament to the human spirit’s capacity for resilience, adaptability, and transformation. I believe that everyone deserves to live a life of confidence, self-expression, and purpose.
Through my work in SMP, I aim to inspire others to embrace their uniqueness, overcome their struggles, and unlock their full potential. If my journey can serve as a beacon of hope for just one person, then I know that I’ve made a difference that truly matters.
What makes you happy?
I’m happy because I’ve found a sense of purpose and fulfillment in my career as an SMP artist. I’m proud of the positive impact my work has on clients’ lives, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a difference. On a personal level, I cherish the time spent with my loved ones, particularly my daughter Alaia and my French Bulldogs, Sarge and Fendi. My happiness also stems from overcoming personal and professional challenges, continuously improving my skills, and building a reputable business, Scalpro Denver.
