Community Highlights: Meet Trenton Thoms of TEEZHEAD, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trenton Thoms.

Trenton, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It is important to note TEEZHEAD, LLC is Proposition: 122 compliant which allows for the cultivation, possession, consumption, and sharing of five natural psychedelic substances which includes Psylocibin and Psilocin which found commonly in Magic Mushrooms.

I personally suffer from Cluster Headaches, of which there is no current verified treatment. Over the course of a several month period in 2022 I was suffering from debilitating Cluster Headache attacks on a daily basis. The Cluster Headaches subsequently caused Migraines as well. This period included a multitude of visits to both my primary care doctor and a leading neurologist in Colorado. Both of my doctors administered all known treatments with little to no effect.

While this was happening, I started my own research on Cluster Headache treatments and stumbled upon a Cluster headache study involving Psilocybin mushrooms (Magic Mushrooms) which showed a 76% efficacy in the treatment of Cluster Headaches. This lead me down the road of growing my own magic mushrooms at home and trying this as a treatment for my disorder. When I was finally able to consume my magic mushrooms, I quite honestly felt relief from the Cluster Headaches in months.

I became my own guinea pig; through a combination of neural inhibitors prescribed by the neurologist and the consumption of my own homegrown magic mushrooms I was able to get my Cluster Headaches into remission and haven’t had a cluster headache since.

I was intrigued by this result and all the potential these mushrooms had for the treatment of Cluster Headaches which is something my doctors threw their hands up at and said to me there is no proven treatment for this disorder. Through continued research and attending a multitude of Magic Mushroom classes I came to realize quite a few things on this journey. I began to realize, there are well over two hundred different strains of Psilocybin mushrooms all with distinct characteristics and potency levels. I also found there have been a ton of studies conducted with magic mushrooms to treat any number of disorders. Through trial and error, I found growing magic mushrooms is not an easy task and sourcing them from the underground community can be a shady business. Through attending the locally available paid classes I also noticed I was the person answering the other attendee’s questions as opposed to the actual instructor of said class. Finally, for personal use there is no current regulation in place to test for potency and educate individuals on safe usage.

I was able to develop a little community of beginner growers and individuals looking to magic mushrooms as an alternative to their regularly prescribed medications. It is from working with this community and their push to open my own company to teach beginner classes that TEEZHEAD was incepted.

Fast forward to today, TEEZHEAD now teaches classes to educate beginners on best practices for the utilization of Magic Mushrooms. Apparel and written guides are available for purchase in class of which the proceeds are put right back into TEEZHEAD in an effort to continue funding of the company and its message.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth sailing keeping TEEZHEAD up and running, that is a certainty. The biggest obstacle has been getting the word out on the classes and getting the classes filled. There is very much a general societal stigma when it comes to psychedelics. Our classes work towards helping to remove this stigma; however, getting attendees over this stigma ahead of the scheduled class lends to individuals not signing up for the classes to begin with.

Additionally, since TEEZHEAD is completely self-funded, we do not have a large budget like some of the other organizations in Colorado. This means limited advertising budget and an extremely limited workforce. For all the good TEEZHEAD’s classes are doing for individual growth, the small class admittance fee along with guide and apparel sales are needed to continue funding these greatly beneficial classes. We have seen incredible growth with the community we have built so far and would willfully provide the class free of charge if this was possible; however, this is not the reality of how business works in general.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TEEZHEAD LLC’s mission is to provide safe and reliable information relating to natural psychedelic substances. With the recent passing of Proposition 122: Access to Natural Psychedelic Substances in Colorado, there is a growing need for reliable guidance about the safe consumption and use of these substances. TEEZHEAD offers valuable insights and guidance in a group setting and on an individual basis.

We believe in demystifying and easing the apprehension surrounding the world of these natural psychedelic medicines. Our team is committed to helping individuals understand the benefits and risks associated with natural medicines, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Completely self-funded and locally operated in Westminster, Colorado, TEEZHEAD offers affordable classes and original art apparel with any proceeds completely reinvested into the funding of their mission to provide education and guidance to the local community.

We have grown to realize the most important portion of our classes is the scheduled roundtable portion of the class. The attendee community supports each other at a very deep level. We provide a safe environment for individuals to have conversations about what is happening in their life or with their mental health challenges in an open and supporting manner. TEEZHEAD simply starts the conversation, and the attendees tend to support each other. By providing dosage and protocol information to the attendees we have seen proven results with repeat attendance. We have some individuals who have completely stopped taking their anti-depression medication with the guidance of their doctors, others who have overcome substance abuse, and others who seek out the classes for moral support. These attendees al utilize Psilocybin on their own schedule and with generalized guidelines provided by the TEEZHEAD team.

Separately, a lot of the attendees are looking for sources of this natural Psychedelic medicine. As part of our effort to keep the community safe TEEZHEAD is willing to provide guidance to the attendees on how to grow their own mushrooms at home. This includes providing proven sources for growing materials, mushroom genetics, and everything to get started. Additionally, TEEZHEAD provides advice along the way during their growing journey to help them be successful. A key part of growing or partaking in magic mushrooms is to provide guided and educated strain information so the attendee is growing a mushroom that will contain a potency level to match their own personal experience level.

The owner and founder of TEEZHEAD, LLC has had a lengthy career in the corporate environment where he has seen the proven benefits of natural medicine both for himself and other individuals. He has a lifetime of experience with natural psychedelic substances. This, along with his years of experience researching and consulting individuals on the safe use and cultivation of magic mushrooms provides for a very well-informed individual.

The owner’s motivation to start TEEZHEAD, LLC is to help others with their journey of self-discovery and the education on the safe use of natural psychedelic substances.

Any big plans?
TEEZHEAD intends to continue supporting the current community and building a larger community going forward. This is to be done in the classroom/roundtable setting and on an individual basis as needed.

We intend to partner with other organizations and local businesses to supply these classes as either part of their established programs or to help bring people into their business as well. Partnerships are already in the works and we look forward to supporting this effort.

Funding for potency testing is also on the horizon. As part of this testing all results are to be provided openly and free of charge on TEEZHEAD.com. Testing has already begun of which some results have been posted to the website. TEEZHEAD is in the process of making available a potency scale as a standard to TEEZEHEAD’s close partners to further educate their customers as well. The potency scale is the first of its kind and serves as a visual representation of how potent the magic mushroom strain. This can be utilized to provide an extended measure of safety to the community at large.
