Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has been divine, which doesn’t mean smooth but it was and is all it is supposed to be. There have been challenges with developing my production and elevating my final product to be higher quality. There are so many layers to making music and having a good team to help ease those processes is so key. Over the years I have been meeting and working with very talented music professionals to develop my sounds production and make my music easier and easier to listen to. There have also been challenges with being an independent, self-funded artist with huge aspirations. Learning to utilized the resources I have to do more has been something that I have had to challenge myself to be wise about. Sharpening my skills in places where I have the resources will make up for the areas where help is needed. Learning from the greats and being as resourceful as possible has been to the benefit of me and my team.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a music artist, songwriter, performer, visual artist, designer, and entrepreneur. I got my start in music production and DJing. I makes alternative and experimental Hip-Hop music, which is commonly blended with other genres and sounds. I have blended Hip-Hop with various genres: Jazz, R&B, EDM, Lo-Fi, and more. I also explore other genres to expand my sound. My lyrics are centered around energetic elevation, positivity, spiritual authority, and harsh/hidden universal truths. I shine light on injustices in the world and encourages the world to continue to move with grace, positivity and strength. All ways to “Keep it 1000”, which is my slogan.

I am most proud of my discography. I love all my music, including the unreleased songs in the vault, and I love to see the development of my sound over time and consistency. I listen to my unreleased music a lot, so I am looking forward to sharing more of my music with the world. I truly love making music. What sets me apart from others is that I do everything with intention and all my current steps are apart of a larger purpose. I move with intention in all I do to make change I trust the world needs. The world needs more love and positivity. I spread this message through free-form creativity in all that I do and in all forms of art I participate in.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was when I visited Time Square for the first time. I believe I was about 10 or 11. I went with a youth program I was apart of and some other kids in the program and myself took the field trip to Time Square. We took the train from my hometown, in Bridgeport, CT, to Time Square. I remember while on the train to New York, the other kids and I were sharing music with each other. We were using this early file transfer method, similar to AirDrop, to send each other songs we were listening to. We stopped at Grand Central Station, which was a grand sight. We then, explored Time Square and ate at an Italian restaurant, right in Time Square. Experiencing the raw and vibrant energy of New York at such a young age was so inspiring to me. I can see my east coast roots and inspirations taking on a life of their own in my art. Memories like this remind me of how I came to be all I know I am.
