Today we’d like to introduce you to Alivia Cuozzo.
Hi Alivia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Born in Colorado, I was first inspired by photography as a young girl who aspired to be like her artist of a Father. I wanted to capture the wonderful world I grew up in. From a young age, we traveled the world. I lived in Guatemala, Mexico, New Mexico, Colorado. I was captivated by the people, cultures, and landscapes around me. I wanted the world to see what I was seeing. My dad had a zest for life and the people, food, and culture in it, so naturally I developed that too. When I graduated high school, I moved to the UK to travel Europe and experience life on the other side of the ocean. I started photographing my travels and the people I met along the way. I developed a love for human connection, laughter, life, and love. I now call myself a traveling photographer, capturing life, love, and events across the globe, and weddings have a unique way of making all of those passions come together. Love, dancing, food, culture, colors, nature, architecture, and people. They all come together to tell someone’s love story and I love it!!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Going full-time was always a fear of mine! And it’s TOUGH!! I obviously want to make enough to do what I love but I’ve had to perfect, adjust, invest, lose, gain, learn, and be humbled along the way. My biggest struggle has being having boundaries and saying no. I want to make everyone’s dreams come true, but I am only one person and it’s not possible to fully do what I love well by overwhelming myself with things that I should’ve said no to. Ultimately I’m learning to say no, so I can say a fuller yes to what inspires me most. It’s hard to start your own business and make it successful but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without my clients, friends, and supportive husband.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in luxury weddings + events. I’m captivated by film and I recently got into it and now offer it with my wedding packages! I like to think my services are unique to every client, caring for what they need most, who they are, who they will feel most loved in their experience with me. The last thing I want is for someone to feel stressed or unloved. I’m proud of the way I’ve been able to juggle wedding days and still make brides feel loved on their wedding day. It’s ultimately their love story and their dreams coming to life. I only want to show the world those dreams and make sure the bride and groom have the best day of their lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Thrifting and finding treasures because I feel like I’ve done the work to find a gem. Coffee because it’s a plant that somehow brings people together around a table. My husband because he loves every awful part of me and is supportive in my journey. Traveling because I get to try new things, meet new people, see new places, learn new languages. It’s so exciting!! People because they are all incredible creations, so unique with different personalities and interests and I genuinely love to learn what makes everyone who they are.
