Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelina LeWand.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Travel and wellness have always been important areas of my life. I love researching and exploring, trying new things, learning about cultures, and meeting new people. I’ve also always been drawn to entrepreneurship and starting a business that I can call my own.
Creating a travel and lifestyle blog seemed quite natural to me. After a couple of years of going back and forth on the idea of creating a blog, I finally committed to the idea and created MoVIN Eclectic to share my travel adventures and wellness journey with the world. I hope to inspire adventure, wellness, and continuous improvement.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am constantly working on ways to improve my blog. This includes bringing more awareness to my blog, finding new ways to increase social media engagement, and boosting SEO performance. Although those aspects of my business are very much a work in progress, I think the largest point of struggle was actually just getting started.
I think when creating a blog, it’s very easy to have imposter syndrome or the fear of what others might think. First, I had those thoughts of “What makes my voice important?”, “There are so many other people talking about similar topics; what sets me apart?” And second, opening myself up to others in a new way was a bit uncomfortable.
I recently read the book The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, as a recommendation from a family member. A lot of this book focuses on overcoming, what Gay Hendricks calls, the Upper Limit Problem, which is when we experience negative emotions after a positive event occurs in our lives. He talks about these fears that prevent us from achieving our true potential and happiness, and how to break free from those.
I found this book to be so insightful into taking the leap. Starting MoVIN Eclectic, I realized I was getting in my own way of doing things that would be fulfilling for me or putting myself out there, because of these fears. I’m now better able to identify when I’m overthinking a decision. By throwing myself into the unknown and the uncomfortable, I have actually grown so much and gained so much confidence. Taking risks can be very scary, but also can be some of the most rewarding decisions.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My main goal with my business and blog is to make travel planning and the world of health and wellness as easy as possible. There is so much information out there and it can be really overwhelming. I do tons of research for any of my travels and wellness routines to consistently learn new things.
I want to share all of this information in an easily accessible way to everyone, hopefully making these worlds of travel and wellness a bit less overwhelming. With travel, I strive to create the most unique and exciting travel experiences, while still being environmentally conscious and animal-friendly.
For all of my wellness routines, I strive to find the safest, cleanest, environmentally conscious, and animal-friendly routines. I am truly passionate about each aspect of my business and all of the things that I share through this platform. I hope everyone can find something that resonates with them!
I am most proud of building this entire brand by myself. From brand ideation and conception to creating a digital strategy for my blog and social media, to building out repeatable process templates to keep me organized, and executing all of that. It has been a culmination of a ton of work, creativity, and passion, and I love having this creative outlet that I can call my own! I have so many future plans for MoVIN Eclectic and can’t wait to bring those to life!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I want to thank everyone who has continually supported me in my blog and content creation adventure. My family and friends follow along my journey, engage with my content, support my products, and share their excitement for what will come next. They really energize me and hype me up to keep pursuing my passions, try new things, and be confident in sharing all of it.
