Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariel Gallegos.

Ariel Gallegos

Hi Ariel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in a small town in southern Colorado. I’ve always been a creative and am constantly looking for outlets to express myself. From a young age, I’ve always had a deep love for creating art. Overtime, this passion drove me to strengthen my skills and explore various artistic mediums. However, it wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I enrolled in the cosmetology program at my local community college. At the time, I figured I could use my certification to help supply my income as I continued my education at a university after graduating high school. But I fell in love with the nail industry and all of its creative potential. After I was certified and licensed, I dove head first into creating my own business. Just like I had hoped, everything was amazing. I was able to meet so many supportive people, yet I still I felt that my art wasn’t reaching its maximum potential. I longed for a change of scenery, so I decided to move to Denver in 2020. My optimistic dreams out weighed the possiblity of failure that the pandemic presented. And my optimism definitely won the battle! Over the next 4 years, I transformed this love for art into a career, allowing me to express my creativity and bring joy to others through my work. Today, I am proud to say that I have turned my dream into a reality by doing what I love every day and making a positive impact on the people whose hands I get to hold.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it wasn’t always a smooth road. As I mention before, I moved during the pandemic at 20 years old. The pandemic was hard because with covid guidelines people were scared of contact with one another, and holding hand with a stranger definitely wasn’t the most appealing idea. I had to make ends meet, I did accumulate 3 jobs at one point and I worked very hard to stay afloat in my single household. But I stayed positive and pushed through! And it all payed off, I happily only work as a nail tech now.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a nail Tech/ nail Artist. I do practice all nail mediums. I specialize in hand painted art. I favor painting cartoon characters on nails. Although I paint outside of my career. Accomplishing a small piece of art in a short amount of time is gratifying to me. I love to give a challenge my best effort.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I started my career when I was 19
