Hi Christopher, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After 8 years of chiropractic school I wanted to make a change in our overall healthcare system. I worked for a practice for a year out of school and then started Dorsa Chiropractic in 2019. I started in a small room out of a CrossFit gym for the first 3 years and quickly grew into the sports community, later specializing in spinal cord injuries like paraplegia, quadriplegia, etc. We quickly grew into our new office space through the use of social media focused on chiropractic treatment videos. 95% of our new patients finds us through YouTube, Instagram and TikTok which currently entertains and educates 722k followers. Our mission has shifted into educating larger audiences through video content. Now our office houses Chiropractic, Massage, and Medical care as well as a nurse who does IV drips and aesthetic medicine.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve been extremely fortunate to have had a smooth road to success, despite opening during the Covid Pandemic and having to close down for 2 months due to COVID-19 restrictions, I ultimatley look at this as a win because we would not have started social media which is now our number one source of referrals and income.

As any business finding the right employees who are passionate about patient care was a struggle for the first 4 years. Our current team is filled with high energy passionate individuals who are here to make an impact on the overall healthcare system.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As sports chiropractors, we’ve been trained well beyond injuries of just the spine; other specialties we have extensive training in include prenatal care, spinal cord injuries, motor vehicle accident care, and overall wellness care. Having experience with such a diverse population base has greatly increased the quality of care we can offer to an even wider variety of patients. Because of this, I focus on taking the time to evaluate, educate and come up with a treatment plan specific to each individual.

Aside from general chiropractic care, we use several different manual therapy techniques most notibly the Y-strap adjustment, but also including Dry needling, muscle release technique, scraping, and kinesiology taping, Therapuetic Infrared Laser. These techniques help to set our practices apart from other practices that specialize in just spinal care.

We are most known for the culture of our pracitice. Our social media presence in the city, working with rappers, pro/olympic athletes and other influencers, even having people fly from out of state to see what we have going on. Most of our doctors are heavily tattooed breaking the mold of how people view medical professionals. Our office appearance is unconventional, we have all of our walls graffitied by local artists and have an archade in the waiting room in order to create a more welcoming homie feel for patients who might be nervous in a typical medical setting. You can play nintendo while getting your IV drips or play pool upstairs while you wait.

We are most proud about the inclusiveness of all demographics and making people feel comfortable no matter where they have come from.

As every human has a body we are easily able to collaborate with local business through our social media treatment videos, usually geared towards an injury that they suffer from related to the work they do.
