Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor Terrones.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in Colorado Springs and began falling in love with music when I was about 10 years old. I started on trombone and eventually started playing bass guitar. Once I started playing bass, I wanted to start learning other instruments too and I knew I wanted to become a professional musician. I went to the University of Northern Colorado to obtain a Bachelor’s in Music Performance in Jazz Studies. Since then, I’ve been living in Denver and performing, recording, writing, producing, and teaching music. My first album is being released this year and I’m very excited for everyone to hear it!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had to put in A LOT of hard work and exercise A LOT of patience to get to where I’m at now. Not every performance goes well, not every song written is going to be great, not every recording is going to be special, but the moments that ARE great make it worth it and I know I’m making progress each step of the way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m very proud to play with my friends in these bands: Kaitlyn Williams, Hunter James & The Titanic, Moonglade, The Whimsy of Things, and Bad Britton. It has been such an honor to perform, write and record music with all of them.
What makes you happy?
Love makes me happy. Romantic love. Love for friends. Love for family. Love for humanity and life in general. Love is the key to happiness.
