Today we’d like to introduce you to Daneira Zuniga Sandoval
Hi Daneira, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
“I’m originally from Nebraska but moved to Colorado eight years ago, where I’ve found a second home. Currently, I’m a second-year student stylist at Pickens Technical College, set to graduate in May 2025. I’m passionate about the beauty industry, especially in helping clients feel their most confident. With a goal to specialize in color and makeup in the Lafayette area, I’m excited to keep growing and honing my skills to make a difference in my clients’ lives.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a student stylist has definitely had its challenges. Balancing school, managing client expectations, and staying on top of the latest hair trends keeps me on my toes every day. But, despite the demands, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Each challenge has only fueled my passion and commitment to this field, and I’m grateful for every step on this journey.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m focusing my career on hair color, with a special love for creating beautiful blondes, lived-in color, and tackling color corrections. One of my proudest moments as a student stylist was placing 2nd in the Colorado State SkillsUSA competition, which is based on our knowledge and skill set. What truly sets me apart, though, is my commitment to making clients feel completely comfortable and free to be themselves in my chair. I’m passionate about creating a safe space for each client, where they can relax and feel confident in the transformation process.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My journey wouldn’t be what it is without my partner, Rachanna, who has been my biggest cheerleader. Her encouragement gave me the push I needed to go back and follow my dreams. I’m also incredibly grateful for my teacher, Mrs. Kelli—her passion for teaching and commitment to pushing us to be our best keeps me motivated every day. Their support has made all the difference in my journey
