Today we’d like to introduce you to Delphine Gennisson.
Hi Delphine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Dear Voyage Denver readers,
My name is Delphine, and I am originally from France. I moved to Colorado in late 2012 as an au pair. At that time, my English was almost nonexistent, but with determination, I became bilingual within a few months.
My professional journey began in fashion, working in several luxury retail stores before creating my first company in wardrobe styling, serving commercials, photo shoots, and video productions. Later, I attempted to launch an upcycling fashion line, but with the arrival of COVID-19 and a series of health challenges, I had to slow down and face the reality of what my body was going through.
Those years were HARD, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Countless medical exams, dozens of daily supplements, and the constant feeling that my body was failing me. At just 28 (at that time), I felt trapped in an 80-year-old body. Trusting my intuition, I discovered my illnesses were linked to what we call Breast Implant Illnesses (which can be chronic fatigue, microbiome and gut issues, allergies, autoimmune diseases, joint pain, loss of hair, acne, and other skin issues). After my explant surgery, I felt instantly better. Within a month, nearly all of my health issues accumulated over 10 years disappeared.
This turning point gave me my life back, and with it, my courage, my sparks; the fire of the Ascendant Leo was just dormant. I left my part-time job at a furniture and design shop and launched my own interior design business called Les Three Vallées (The Three Valleys), which I’ve been running full-time since 2021.
This chapter taught me that authenticity is not optional; it’s everything. Living in alignment with our body, our truth, and our art is what unlocks real possibility. I’ve never shied away from being vulnerable, using my story to encourage other women to listen deeply to themselves, to let go of what no longer serves them, and to be unapologetically gentle with their own body and desires. We are constantly reminded that something is wrong with us, but I am here to tell NOTHING, absolutely nothing is wrong with us to begin with. And when you hold this discourse in your own head, you just become a different person, and project more beauty to the world, which we need.
My design philosophy reflects this: nothing is rushed, every detail is intentional, and each project is in harmony with both the environment and the client’s authentic self. Every collection is curated, personal, and rooted in the belief that “Everything is possible, the impossible just takes a little longer.”
With Love,
Delphine
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think I answered this before, but to name a few points of hardship, I would say:
– Foreign land, language, culture adaptation
– Creating a new community/trusted friends around me
– Listening to my body and fixing my health issue
– Being my own competition, and raising the barre too often.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Even in moments of self-doubt or change, I remain proud of the strength it took to leave my French nest in search of new horizons. Each time my thoughts grow a little too obsessive, I’ve learned it’s not just my head speaking; it’s often my intuition growing impatient. I’m proud that I can listen deeply to that inner voice, because it has led me to extraordinary opportunities and unforgettable encounters that have changed the course of my life.
More than once, I’ve leapt over the fence of fear to explore what might be possible in unseen territory. I built two businesses without the conventional path of education and without even a second language to lean on at the start. Today, after mastering English, I continue to nourish my curiosity by learning new language, and I love practicing Spanish whenever I can.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t measured by titles, money, or how busy we look; it’s measured by alignment.
Success is waking up each day with energy in my body, clarity in my heart, and purpose in my work. It’s knowing I am living authentically, creating beauty that reflects who I am, and helping others feel more connected to themselves through the spaces I design.
True success is also about resilience: turning pain into growth, failure into wisdom, and challenges into stepping stones. Most importantly, success is freedom, the freedom to be unapologetically myself, to choose my own path, to live to the standard I like, and to encourage other women to trust their intuition and believe that everything is possible.
