Conversations with Drew Hunter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drew Hunter.

Hi Drew, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Drew Hunter! I make Pop music. I grew up in the suburbs of Denver. I’ve tried leaving a handful of times, but this city always brings me back. I started playing music as small child and have always been drawn to all eras of pop music. During the COVID shutdown, I became inspired to make a break for my solo work. Since then, I’ve finished 5 singles that will be released throughout the summer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My decision to pursue a solo project has been an inspiring one. Like many others, 2020 was a year of reflection for me. Being forced to venture inwards during that time brought a new perspective on what I felt I needed to express. Before this project, I mainly played guitar and sang backup vocals in bands, so being vulnerable as a solo artist was something I had to learn. I really needed the push to reach deeper into my emotions and that wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for my friend, and all-around badass co-writer, Jaxon Stunden.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a pop singer. My voice is what really sets me apart from other singers. Not because it is the best, but because it’s really different from other artists out there. I’m most proud of the lyrical growth I gained while writing the five singles I did last year. It’s made me so excited to share them with the world!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Check out my latest singles, Broke No More, and Give It All Away on all streaming platforms! Keep an eye out for new material every month. All of my future show dates and release information will be on my socials. @drewhuntermusic
