Today we’d like to introduce you to Eryk Fisher.
Hi Eryk, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Aside from my vigor, I believe it’s imperative to also pay homage to the individuals that I have surrounded myself with when explaining how I started and how I got to where I am today. Moving to Colorado in 2018, after completing my obligation with the United States Army I submerged myself in the cannabis industry, finding solace in my transition back into the civilian world at Tetra Private Lounge & Garden. It was working for and alongside the owner Dewayne Benjamin that I learned a lot about Denver and even more about business and how to conduct business in this new city. It was an added luxury that his renowned lounge was “the hub” for so many amazing businesses and savvy creatives — a networker’s dream; meeting the right people at the right time is what truly initiated my journey.
Fast forwarding through the next five years, I have been blessed to be a part of many amazing and creative things throughout the city, while some I consider milestone events working alongside phenomenal individuals in the process. For example, in 2019, our team and artists Rube Zilla, Chelsea Lewinksi, and designer Fresh Sam took to California and Michigan to curate the VIP area of the High Times Cannabis Cup while simultaneously introducing their first cannabis coloring book created by artist Rube Zilla. Then in 2020 during the heart of the COVID pandemic, we created and produced The Black Love Mural Festival (BLMF) in collaboration with Annie Phillips of IRL Art, and the city of Denver, then later partnered with CRUSH Walls to include the BLMF in the famous art festival held in the RiNo Art District.
By 2021, I had transitioned into the music industry. Partnering with Kelsey O’Sullivan to bring to life “The Knock” originally started as a quarterly live event that highlighted the local emcees, DJs, and creatives that breathe the life of hip-hop in the city, has now blossomed into an authentic community of creatives acting in unison to increase the visibility of Colorado hip-hop. Starting in 2022, my business partner and brother, Kevan Reece, alongside friend and owner of It’s A Bodega, KC Christian, started the City Boy Country Club (CBCC), which is our very own promotional company and brand that built an initial following through our radio show on Mile High Sports Radio (98.1FM).
Present day, I am the creator and host of “Late Night with a Light Skin” (LNWALS) which is an after-hours, NSFW show and safe space where we share our sexual interests and experiences in an attempt to foster transparent, sex-positive conversations, striving to engage all walks of life to educate, empower, and destigmatize our pleasures and make room for healthy sexual growth & understanding. This show came about in an attempt to create more authentic content as individuals within the City Boy Country Club and I soon found success acting as your unfiltered subconscious. In a space that I am extremely comfortable in and curious about, I believe it’s just as exciting as it is taboo, touching on topics that I feel a lot of people think about but don’t feel comfortable proclaiming. Yet, on my platform, my goal is to provide the message or space for those to feel safe, respected, and unapologetic in their desires.
Separately, but just as important, I am working diligently to learn and perfect boxing promotion to assist our very own, Kevan Reece, as we are excited for him to take over the influencer boxing realm. Fighting out of House Of Pain – East, in Aurora, Colorado he dominated in his pro debut with a first-round TKO on August 19th, 2023 through Colorado’s Pound 4 Pound Promotions. With years of preparation, Kevan, myself, and the CBCC are excited to be a foundation for exciting content, whether it be my debaucherous antics or Kevan’s flare and expertise in the ring, where we are today is merely the beginning.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My “struggles” along the way I feel were pretty common. Like most, I have had my fair share of what you would call bad business deals and business partners, but I have also dropped the ball or failed to deliver on my end as well.
While on this road, it’s been a land full of lessons both personally and professionally; while both play a substantial role in my progression, regardless of the obstacles it is my responsibility to take accountability for my actions or the lack thereof.
As I’ve matured, learning the weight of words, I much rather than address a challenge or obstacle as an “opportunity” because each instance is a chance to adapt, learn, and grow.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I consider myself a creative liaison, conducting myself as the “middle man” within music, art, cannabis, fashion, and more recently boxing industry. Through an extensive network, as well as creative prowess, I love to assist businesses and creative individuals in achieving their marketing and production goals. I am most proud of the relationships I have built and maintained over the years and I believe what sets me apart from others is my authenticity and genuine effort. I am passionate about the work I do and the people I work with.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe I’m lucky or unlucky. Truthfully, this is my divine calling and everything in life and business has undoubtedly happened for a reason which has led me to who I am today.
To call myself lucky or unlucky would be disrespectful to God, and the sacrifice, the blood, sweat, and tears, that I have dedicated to becoming the person and professional that I am today — it’s all happening in divine timing.
