Conversations with Funky Mimosa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Funky Mimosa.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I just follow my intuition, I always loved photography since I was young and I decided to go to study in Australia to learn about it and then I moved to berlin seven years ago. It is all not easy but I am doing what I love, that is the blessing of this precious life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It always has struggles and challenges like life. For example, there are many artists here in Berlin, so it is not so easy to find projects which can pay for the pills. But it always works out as the universe is on our back when we truly trust and do what we need to do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am into intuitive and dreamy creation of natural elements, vivid colours and funky vibes.

I originally from China and moved to Berlin in 2015, she has been working as a visual artist for ten years. She is deeply touched and inspired by mysterious nature, poetic people and Zen practice, so she combines everything in a surreal and playful way in which to show all the merged spirts as one.

I would love to use her art to invite people to feel the connections between nature and each other, to discover as a child, to create with magic, to see life as a playground and play with love.

Graduated from RMIT (Australia), majored in photography, based in Berlin.

What’s next?
I plan to trust more and let go of all the fear.
