Conversations with Isaac Sarles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Sarles.

Hi Isaac, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Our group A$cension started the year of 2020 pre-Covid. It all just started out as fun making music with all the homies as that was something we all wanted to do. After a while though, we realized that this idea can be something bigger than we had previously thought. Ever since that year, we’ve been working hard to create content and music that truly represents our views and shares our individual stories and experiences. As well as performing at local shows and venues around the city.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We believe that if you decide to take the road towards your dreams, the road will be rockier than you’ll ever imagine. That’s just life though. No big accomplishment will ever be achieved by a small amount of work. Especially in this new age of the music industry where the internet supplies an abundance of music, artists have to work harder and smarter than ever before to navigate this new playing field.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I think what sets us apart from other musical creators is that we create music that we truly believe in and we aren’t afraid to step outside the standard sounds that people may be used to hearing. We know that life gets serious very often. We want to make the city/state feel empowered.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Honestly, the best resources you’ll find in this industry will be the artists and creatives that are already established in it. The most difficult part is taking all the outside influence you’ve gathered and applying it to your own personal situation.
