Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaden Congdon

Hi Jaden, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello! My name is Jaden Congdon. I’ve been an artist my whole life but started my business in 2018. I really enjoy drawing realism and surrealism style of artwork. Recently I have taken on an apprenticeship to pursue a career in tattooing! I am enjoying it so far and will have a focus in black and grey. My goals include becoming a full time tattoo artist who also creates and sells original artwork! I’m thankful for the opportunities presented to me and am excited for what is to come!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve experienced loss in my life which has turned my world upside down. Just recently I feel like I can see straight again. I’ve learned a lot through grief and it has inspired a lot of my artwork. I am thankful for my supporters and loved ones.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I draw with graphite primarily and am inspired by dark art and surrealism. I specialize in realism and surrealism and am also known for my black and grey tattoos! I’m proud of my recent tattoos because they show my growth as an artist exploring a new medium. I enjoy traditional artwork as well as tattooing and I plan to do both as an artist!

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was a very active kid. Always have loved the outdoors and outdoor activities. I grew up very shy and I’ve always been told that I’m soft spoken and I try and work on that! I am an identical twin so that is a huge part of my identity and childhood. I grew up as the oldest sibling with my twin in a family with 5 kids along with our mom and dad. I’ve always been into art ever since I can remember and really dove into it in high school. I also was very into sports, specifically basketball.
