Conversations with Katie Winik

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Winik.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a mother, a wife, a student of life, a crystal communicator, and a healer. I am a creator of relationships. I am a mentor and companion to walk your path with you and witness you in your growth.

I am a Reiki Master, Master of Crystology, Crystal Surgery Practitioner, Microdosing Mentor, and a Master Hair Stylist. With over 20 years in Beauty and Wellness industry, and 10+ years in Alternative Healing. By blending these healing modalities, I can create unique healing experiences. My goal is to help guide you back to finding your power and your inner light.

I am a native of Colorado and was blessed to grow up in the small town of Manitou Springs. At the base of Pikes Peak (Tava, or Sun Mountain), Manitou Springs is known for its healing mineral spring water fresh mountain air, and the red rocks of Garden of the Gods. Healers of different modalities have been drawn here for almost 100 years.

As a mother of 6 and deeply committed to home and family, with 3 girls and 3 boys, I understand the struggles of a busy lifestyle and understand complicated family dynamics. Because of this, I know how important it is to make time for healing yourself.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life always has ups and downs. I am a busy business owner as well as a mother of 6. So I guess you can say it’s been bumpy. Sometimes the bumps are there to teach you things that you would have never learned without them.

So although I have had times when my path has taken me down a longer road, I always feel that I have learned great lessons, that I can use to help others. Such as I definitely can relate to mothers and their struggles in daily life. Which can be very helpful in my healing work.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a master hair stylist of over 20 years. I am a Reiki Master, Master of Cryptology, Microdose Mentor, and a Crystal Surgery Practitioner. I combine all of these skills to not only create unique services in my hair business but also to tailor customized Crystal Healing sessions for my clients. Where we can work on physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual aspects of health and healing.

What I am most proud of is having the courage to go into business for myself and blend my hair and healing business. What sets me apart is my ability to create deep meaningful relationships in my hair business and blend that with my healing work. It creates a different kind of experience for my clients.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
Risk-taking… well, yeah. Starting my own business with no clients was a risk. Then moving out of the salon into my own space, so that I could blend the healing work with the hair was a huge risk. I lost quite a few clients in the move. Ultimately though, I have recouped the loss and am gaining that are more in alignment with the direction I’m taking my business.

• 60 min crystal healing is $150
• Hair service prices are under construction but start at $75-$240 these include mini-healing sessions.
