Conversations with Kellyn Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kellyn Jones.

Hi Kellyn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been creative all my life and knew being an entrepreneur was in my blood from an early age. I started in the beauty industry 17 years ago as a hairstylist and have worn many different hats in the industry along the way. From hairstylist, educator, salon owner, and now a beauty business coach and astrologer.

After selling my salon in Boston, I decided to go remote with my business and moved to Denver a little over a year ago. I offer beauty businesses, salons, hairstylists, and creative entrepreneurs strategies to help their businesses succeed with offerings including mentorship, clarity sessions, astrology readings, tarot card readings, a membership group, and website design.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Many learning experiences along the way. Some of the biggest lessons in entrepreneurship were learning to develop my skills that didn’t come easy – the more practical side of owning a business – money, finances, savings, taxes, schedule, client policies and boundaries, and time management.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Astrologer, beauty business strategist, and creative entrepreneur coach. I help people find their gifts and growth opportunities with astrology and weave that into practical business coaching. After spending over 17 years as an entrepreneur and salon owner, I made major business changes, sold my salon, and started business coaching full-time.

After about a year of coaching, I started to use astrology as one of my coaching tools to understand my students on a deeper level and never looked back. Why Astrology? Simple. Working with nature’s elements and the stars helps others develop a relationship with the Universe and themselves on a deeper level. I specialize in blending mystical and practical tools into entrepreneurship for self-discovery and business.

I am most proud of being able to start over again and again and change direction when I feel called to do so. I believe that being an entrepreneur doesn’t look linear and the path is very different from one business owner to the next. I specialize in business strategies and coaching for hairstylists, beauty professionals, salon owners, healers, and creative entrepreneurs. I offer astrology and tarot card readings outside my business coaching offerings.

I love living in Denver! The beautiful mountains, all the seasons, outdoor activities, friendly people, and how dog-friendly everywhere is. At least – air quality and no ocean.
