Today we’d like to introduce you to Korynne Mykal

Korynne Mykal, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in 2019 in my college dorm room. With the help of my dad, I began my business and started creating and selling my designs through e-commerce platforms. I continued to perfect my marketing and social media strategy which ultimately lead me to the success of my business. Social media plays a major role in my business and growing my online presence has helped my visibility and reach within the US.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, right? Struggles are apart of the journey! I have had many struggles when trying to run and operate my business such as supplier issues etc… but those hiccups taught me many lessons that I learned from. You have to go through it, to grow through it! A piece of advice I can give is to do your own research… knowledge is truly power.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner and CEO of K Mykal streetwear brand! I specialize in luxury streetwear pieces that are carefully crafted with sauce! I’m most proud of my consistency within my business throughout the years. Consistency wins the long game! I am known for my marketing campaigns and creativity within my content. My content has definitely played a part in me receiving orders. When you sell a “lifestyle” people want to be apart of that lifestyle. What sets me apart from others is my creativity and staying true to myself. Every piece I have created is something that I would wear daily and I plan on staying true to my original mission… to create pieces that I would wear even if I did not create it.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Taking risks is the only way to succeed. People are set on the cons of “what if” but what if it all works out? Take that risk regardless because you will regret it if you don’t! It is important to take strategic risks though, do not go all in blindly, do your research and take the best educated risk.
