Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristi Rolin.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After 25 years of raising four active kids, I’ve returned to one of my lifelong passions – interior decorating and color. This past year, I started my new business, Haven Home Interiors. I’m now helping homeowners refresh and transform their spaces by helping them select perfect paint colors (inside and out), navigate home renovations, or simply re-decorate for a fresh new update. I guide my clients through every step —from finding the right undertones to adding the perfect finishing touches. I love it all, and I’m thrilled to be doing what I love in this new season of my life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have only been in business a year, but I haven’t had any huge obstacles or challenges thus far.

What makes my approach to interior design different? It’s simple: I’m not just here to decorate your home—I’m here to empower you and help you create a space you will love to live in.

As someone who’s turned a lifelong hobby and passion into a new career, I understand the deep love and connection we all have to our homes. My mission is to help my clients create a space that not only looks beautiful but feels uniquely like them. I specialize in teaching homeowners how to design intentionally—how to blend timeless choices with current trends, how to recognize and work with undertones, and how to make confident decorating decisions that last for years to come.

Through one-on-one consultations and workshops, I guide my clients through the renovating and decorating process in a way that’s approachable and educational. My goal is for my clients to walk away with a beautifully decorated home—and the skills and knowledge to keep it looking and feeling fresh and updated for years to come.

In the past, I always wished I could pull together a space like the professionals do, but I didn’t know where to start. Well now I do, and I teach my clients as much or as little as they want to know so they can do the same. There are definitely secrets in the industry, and a right and wrong way to go about interior design. I love showing my clients the best way to plan out a new design and bring it to life with decorations and accessories to freshen up their space so they love it once again.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Surprisingly, most people think they can’t afford the help of an interior designer. But honestly, as a professional interior decorator, I can save my clients thousands of dollars by avoiding costly mistakes that they would later regret, or have to live with but hate, or end up redoing and replacing down the road. Getting professional advice and guidance along the way saves them so much time, money, and frustration. I also save my clients money by purchasing products with my trade discount, and oftentimes that savings is more than what they would pay me for my time spent on their project. So in the end, it’s a win-win, for both of us!
