Conversations with Paige Helin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Helin.

Hi Paige, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was licensed as an esthetician at just 16 years old, choosing this path while I was still in high school. From the very beginning, I knew this was more than a job—it was a calling. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working at some of the most renowned hotels and resorts in Colorado, where I honed my skills across diverse areas of the industry: from the medical space to sales, and most recently, the holistic healing space.

That transition into holistic care felt like coming full circle, since part of my college studies—alongside hospitality management—was focused on holistic and alternative health care. It’s deeply rewarding to now be in a space where the spa is not only women-founded but also women-led, aligning with my passion for lifting women up both in the treatment room and in the industry at large.

My journey has been about more than skincare—it’s been about mentorship, education, and empowerment. Managing women who were older and more experienced than me early in my career taught me the importance of leading with respect and empathy. Today, I find the greatest fulfillment in guiding and supporting other women, helping them grow in confidence and skill while reminding them that our collective strength lies in collaboration.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. The times I’ve struggled most in this industry were when I stepped away from the hands-on treatment room and the mentorship that fuels me. I’ve left the treatment room several times to hone my skills in other areas—becoming a sales guru, and even managing a medical spa at one point. While I excelled in those roles and learned valuable lessons, I realized they were side steps away from what truly lights me up.

What keeps me passionate about this work is simple yet profound: helping women feel more confident in their skin, both personally and professionally. There’s something deeply rewarding about seeing a guest leave the treatment room not only glowing on the outside but feeling stronger, more radiant, and more empowered on the inside. That’s the heart of my journey, and it’s why I continue to dedicate myself to this path.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
In my most recent role at Recovery Lounge & Spa, I was drawn to the space because of what it stands for—nervous system regulation, healing modalities, and a collective of experts working together to help people heal deeply. What really sets this spa apart is its holistic approach, and I knew I wanted to contribute something meaningful to that vision.

When I joined, there wasn’t an esthetician program in place. I proposed the idea to the owner, Amanda Glenn, and with her support, we launched an entirely new facial menu and retail offering that I was able to design from the ground up. Having that creative freedom to build something of my own has given me an incredible amount of pride and energy for the business. It’s been a chance to blend my background in holistic health with my esthetics expertise, creating treatments that are both restorative and transformative.

Beyond the treatment room, I’ve also stepped into the creative challenge of growing our social media presence. For someone who has always been deeply private, putting myself out there has been uncomfortable at times—but it’s also been surprisingly fun. Making videos, sharing our unique approach, and showcasing the tools we use to help people has become another outlet for creativity. It’s rewarding to capture the essence of what we do here and share it with a wider audience.

What sets me apart in this industry is not just my technical skill, but my ability to create, innovate, and bring new ideas to life—whether it’s designing a facial program from scratch or finding fresh ways to connect with our community.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending endless days with my best friend in our neighborhood. We would play from daylight to dusk, completely immersed in our own little world. The heart of that world was a cherry blossom tree that became our sanctuary. We practically lived in that tree—climbing up into its branches and losing track of time as the hours passed.

Surrounded by soft shades of pink blossoms and the warmth of summer air, it felt magical, almost like the tree was holding us in a safe embrace. That ritual of climbing, laughing, and simply being together carried on for years, and it remains one of the most cherished memories of my childhood.
