Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Storen
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi! I started playing music as a child and have always loved putting events and parties together in my adult life. In 2019, I teamed up with the Tico Time River Resort in Aztec, NM to produce the first annual Tico Time Bluegrass Festival. This has led me to book some of my biggest heroes, as well as my closest friends on the bill for these incredible weekend-long Bluegrass Festivals. MY band Liver Down The River always has a spot on the lineup as well!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Learning how to put a festival together has been somewhat challenging. The first 2 years were put together by me and the Tico Time staff exclusively. In the last 2 years however, we have brought on the crew from Instigate Entertainment to help run all the on-site operations. This team used to put the Arise Festival together, so the know their stuff! This allows for me to focus more on the creative aspects of the festival.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love to create art. I think I am known for writing music that takes a listener on a journey. My songs generally have multiple contrasting sections that cover a lot of ground. I am very proud of the Liver Down The River record that we are releasing in October 2025!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Believe in yourself! Lean into your own natural artistic self, and run with it. Your art is you.
