Conversations with Peyton Glynn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peyton Glynn.

Hi Peyton, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My spark for music started at an early age. Inspired by my dad’s love of hip-hop, pop, and classic rock, I suddenly found myself putting together chords and tunes on the guitar by 10 years old. As I grew up, I found my creative rhythm forming my words into lyrics and beats to songs. I invested in my first set of equipment in high school and began polishing my art. I’m proud of my roots and to have grown up in Louisiana before moving and beginning my music career hosting my own shows in Murray, Kentucky. I started my venture to Denver, Colorado in 2016 as a full-time artist while fine-tuning and developing my unique signature sound. This 7-year journey has helped me navigate where I’m headed in the music industry to make a significant impact.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle, at first, was navigating my music professionally in the industry. With so many platforms to reach, I had to come up with a game plan to make my mark while finding who I authentically was as an artist.

Another challenge was the constant travel between multiple cities. While grateful for all my networks and collaborations, it was a demanding lifestyle with little payout. I found these opportunities impacting my growth to higher heights.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m proud to call myself an independent artist, a producer and an engineer primarily in the rap and hip hop community. I’ve put 10,000 long hours of hard work and sacrifice into perfecting my craft. I’m proud to have developed a strong sense of knowledge and direction to where I am today and excited where I’m headed.

It’s a rare thing to have the opportunity to create music between significant cities and cultures. What sets me apart is crafting a fusion of those sounds & different influences into my work.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
With an interest for reading books that inspire and podcasts with strong messages, my best self in life comes from my faith. God has been my resource to live passionately and creatively in what I love to do.
